3.5 Wuff 3.5 star review:
My wife & I dropped into Wuff on a weekday evening with no booking, and were seated immediately. I was delighted to see they'd craft beer, including the local Porterhouse Wrasslers stout, so I ordered one. Unfortunately, the waitress mixed my order up, and brought me a different beer, but was willing to replace it when I pointed it out. I had the mackeral starter, which was well-seasoned and very tasty. I then had the sirloin steak which was delicious, a good cut of meat, cooked to perfection. I finished off with a strong double espresso. My only criticism of Wuff was the lack of an early-bird option, as our bill, with beer, wine & desert, was steep enough, considering we only decided to eat-out at short notice.

I came here with my friends today I was so glad I booked they were turning loads of people away as it was booked solid probably due to it popularity and a week before Christmas. We have a lovely bottle of wine two of my friends has the fish and chips which they enjoyed, another had the poached egg with beetroot salad and I had the poached eggs on sourdough with coleslaw why shared the delicious chips. Atmosphere is great is close to the centre but not near all the crowds and busy shops. I will definately come here again for brunch.

I LOVE the fact that Wuff has opened up on Benburb Street. I LOVE the fact that the owners took a chance on a relatively under-appreciated area and brought their little bit of magic to an otherwise drab street. I'm just not so sure about the food though. The menu and ethos both purport to be great value but the portions are actually very small, and the food is, I hate to say it, not that tasty.
But Wuff is just getting into its groove so I'll give it another go. Apparently brunch is so good it's near impossible to get a table.

We live in the area and I have been meaning to try this place since it opened. We had an early morning Sat shopping trip in town with the kids and they were starving so we decided to try it for brunch. We didn't have a reservation but they were very good and got us a table against the wall. I had the breakfast, my husband had the steak sandwhich and the children shared the sandwich. The owner of the restaurant mingled with the customers without being intrusive which we liked. The atmosphere was great, very bohemian. It seemed like a lot of the local 30somethings were here for a catch-up on the night before. It's not an ideal restaurant for children as it's quite small but the staff didn't seem to mind and during our meal we noticed other young couples arriving with their small children so we didn't feel out of place. Our 2 are boisterous but that didn't seem to faze the staff and they were very friendly with them. The food was lovely but I did think the portion sizes were small. Apart from that I would be definitely recommend it.

Have passed Wuff so many times and said I must try it so I took a stroll down from Smithfield after work.
I was struck by how local and friendly it feels as soon as I walked in. Friendly staff even offered us a choice of tables.
The menu was quite short & simple which made choosing easy anyhow. I ordered beetroot salad & pork bell and my companion ordered wood pigeon & roast chicken, all of which was really well presented and very very tasty. Only tiny criticism was that the salad was quite large for a starter (but that didn't stop me finishing it all because it was so delicious. The celeriac wedges with the pork were absolutely amazing.
There was a nice buzz about the place too with some real chill music playing loud enough that we couldn't hear what was being said at the table beside us but equally we didn't have to shout.
The food bill came to €58 - which was reasonable in my opinion given the quality of the food.
The proprieters milled around from table to table chatting in a friendly but non-intrusive kind of way.
This place is a great addition to the northside & I'll definitely be returning to work my way through the rest of the menu.

A friend and I stumbled across Wuff when looking for a Sunday brunch a couple of weeks ago and have already been back once. It’s a stylish café with real attention to detail in the decoration but at the same time is totally unpretentious – which we love as we’ve rocked up in our jogging gear after a session in the Phoenix Park. The food is just great, everything has that little bit extra effort and imagination, on my first visit I had a pulled ham hock BLT which came on lovely sour dough with coleslaw which complemented the meat perfectly. On my second visit I had the steak sandwich with red onion marmalade and Gruyere cheese, the combination was perfection – I’m in love with it and already plan to steal it for my Christmas canapes. The service is also really good with the friendly owner/manager taking the time to chat. I totally recommend Wuff, just don’t forget to book, for Sunday brunch at least as it was jammers.
