3.5 The Green Room 3.5 star review:
amazing yummy food but we had to wait an hour, ask 3 times when our food would be arriving and kept being told it won't be long. We also had to wait ages at the bar to get a drink. Yes it was busy but if you know there is an event at the O2 and the parking attendent is suggesting you go there for food beforehand get more staff on. Three people working a busy Friday night is not good enough. If they got the service part right it would be a lovely place to go again.

2.0 The Green Room 2.0 star review:
Visitted the Green Room for the first time today for lunch. It's situated in the Point Village behind the O2 in a new multi story building so was expecting a large sleek contemporary gastro bar, but the Green Room is in fact an odd combination between industrial exposed pipe "chique" and traditional irish bar. All seats were taken with lunch time diners, all presumably from nearby offices....media types ....... a few radio stations in the vicinity, save for one high table. Menus is short and typical standard fare. I asked if the crispy prawns were fresh, but due to their frozen origins, I ordered the chowder, seemed fine, but i did ask myself when it might have been made.....for no reason other than suspect chowder is one of those things that unless you're selling high volumes of the stuff, is made once a week a refrigerated. The Green Bar Burger followed, looked good, served with tasty crispy freshly cooked chunky fries which were pretty good, but the burger was not up to par, it tasted funny, so after a few bites, i called it quits....my server, who might have also been the manager did enquire if everything was okay, and checked with the kitchen. The burger was freshly made from fresh mince so i can only assume that the meat was not of great quality or there was no seasoning added.
Despite polishing off the tasty chips i wasn't charged for the burger.
In summary, fairly average bar, good service,
and fairly average bar food. I'm only one Luas stop away, but won't be rushing back!
