Brunched here on a Saturday morning, complimentary mimosas were offered and partaken on. I had the eggs benedict with salmon which was superb and my companion was very impressed with the full irish. Service attentive and cheerful as always.

Good Friday, so restaurant was a little quiet, and no beer :-(. Food - steak and burger was absolutely superb, wings were excellent and a generous portion. Service was cheerful and attentive.

I can't say much of the atmosphere as we got here early and there was hardly anyone here. However the food was excellent and the staff are lovely i would definitely return here again. I like that the place isn't pretentious like many of the restaurants popping up around Dublin in recent times. Just good food and good service. Will definitely call back!

We ordered from the 3 course set menu which is good value for the selection that's offered. The salmon starter was nice but very bitter it needed something a little sweeter to break up the taste. The duck pate was lovely and the waitress twice gave us more bread when we ran out. I had the ribeye with the truffle mash which was delicious the pepper sauce with it was just a little thin. My girlfriend had the lamb which was also lovely it was served pink and very tender. We finished with the baileys panna cotta and the vanilla cheesecake which had a fruit compote on top which provided a nice balance of flavour. The waitress was very nice and accommodating we couldn't fault her. Overall lovely food and service its a great little place

Food was quite bland and not very good quality. Menu reads nicer than actually tastes.. Paper napkins and cheap small Wine glasses..Only 1 disabled toilet for all- and this is where they store baby chair? Waiting staff were great and is restaurant's only saving grace.. ( we won't be returning customers anyway)

Meeting with some friends - 1st time here. Really great offers - 3 course for €23.95. Beautiful food, great service, suitable to vegetarian options. Handy for the Luas back to City Centre. A great find.

I visit PHX at least once every 2 weeks, It is the one Restaurant in the area that has never disappointed me. On this visit I had the Poached eggs with Smoked Salmon from there Brunch menu. It was priced at €8.95. Very Very tasty. What really works about this place is the staff are always very bubbly and always have time to chat to every table. The Dinner Menu is Great value. Keep an eye out for the Risotto. JJ, Stoneybatter

Absolutely brilliant bistro. I'm not sure it's possible to recommend this place enough for a nice, relaxing, delicious meal. The food is top shelf, the staff are fantastic, the cocktails are great and the value is outstanding. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out!!!!

Food and service in this establishment is beyond reproach. However, don't go there hungry as you will leave in the same way. Portion sizes are very small, making one regret skipping a starter. I cannot understand a restaurant skimping on things like fries, vegetables and a bit of salad, even if its only to fill out a plate. I won't be rushing back, as it is definitely not good value for money, when the cost of a small steak is €23 and a very small battered fish and chips costs €15.

Myself and some of my family went here for dinner based on the good reviews on Menupages. The reviews were correct! The waitress was a lovely person, very helpful and friendly. My aunt is coeliac so it was great to see so many options for her on the menu. The food is delicious and incredibly well priced. We went for the two course for €19.95 option and there was plenty of food for both courses. The restaurant was quiet but there was still a good atmosphere. We even got to watch a winter solstice parade. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We decided to book PHX as we've never heard of it, the food looked good, and they offer a reasonable early bird. Upon arrival there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant so the atmosphere lacked slightly, but there were 4 in our party thankfully. The waitress was well informed, pleasant, and provided excellent service. The wine selection was adequate, although it would have been nice to see a few more options, but I loved that everything was available in a carafe. We ordered the duck parfait, gambas pil pil, and the pork riellette special to start. Everything was delicious especially the riellette and the parfait. We were offered extra bread if needed, which we definitely needed, and it was brought right away. For mains, the table had 2 of the pork belly, and the hake. The pork belly was definitly a stand out. It wasn't overly chewy, (which sometimes deters me from ordering pork belly), the sauce went well, the tenderstem broccoli was a great shout, and the truffle mash was delicious. It went very well with our Cab Sauv. The hake was also delicious. Very delicate and nice flavours. We also ordered skinny fries as a side which there was a lot of, but a little overly salted for me. For dessert we got one peanut butter brownie for the table. I was really excited about this dessert and I think it actually sub consciously made me pick the restaurant, as I am a peanut butter freak. Unfortunately the peanut butter flavour wasn't that strong and the brownie could have been a little more moist. Overall it was a great experience and might be back for the cheese plate at some point.

I ate here with my family on Monday evening following the Dublin City Marathon and I was very happy with the standard of dining and the quality of food. We opted for the 3 course meal for €22.95, amazing value. The food quality was very high, the portion sizes were a little too big for me but everyone else was happy. I will definitely be dining here again.

Visited here with a group of 5 others after completing the Dublin Marathon. Originally spotted a deal online but opted for their own offer of 3 courses for €22.95. It was bank holiday Monday at 7pm so the restaurant was very quiet. We were seated at a table by the window so it was nice to look out and reflect on the race earlier that day (as the route passed right by the restaurant, albeit on the other side of the river). The menu is varied so there should be something for all tastes. Everybody enjoyed their starters, although some felt the spicy chicken wings were a little too spicy (I disagreed!). Nobody could fault the mains. I had the hake and it really was a very tasty dish. The pork belly was the best one of the other guests had ever tasted, not too bad coming from someone who had eaten in Patrick Guilbauds only the previous week. Nearly everybody went for the Chocolate and peanut butter brownie which everybody enjoyed. Personally I would have liked it slightly warmed but that really is nit picking. Service was friendly and prompt without being overbearing. The jugs of water were replenished without having to be asked and we were told about the specials so again, no complaints about the service. For €22.95 for 3 courses (€2 supplement for prawn starter and €5 supplement for steak mains), it really did represent excellent value for money. I would comfortably recommend PHX Bistro to my family/friends.

We visited this week, as I'd heard good things from friends and there was also a deal on with Menu Pages, so I thought it was a good enough excuse to give it a try. We definitely weren't disappointed. The food was lovely, and the staff were very attentive. We would definitely go back, but maybe closer to the weekend, as it was a little quiet the night we went (Wednesday).
