I had the most gorgeous super salad for starter, really fresh and tasty. Loved it. My partner had the crab to start - it looked quite small. I had the crab cakes for main - a bit overcooked, small and not very tasty. The accompanying salad of orange, rocket and fennel was lovely. My partner had the hake and it looked fab. Really fresh and all the accompanying dishes were really tasty. Service was efficient - really thought this was lovely food. However, the seating is quite cramped and food a little expensive for such tight atmosphere.

Tried Homemade by Clodagh for lunch and was very disappointed with quantity and quality. Crab and Lobster roll, hard to find and lobster or crab, both sauteed and overcooked in disproportionately large Brioch roll - avoid!!! poor value.

I expected food in this upstairs restaurant to be an improvement on the awful dining experience we had in the self service one. I was bitterly disappointed. The burger I chose was obviously pre-cooked and kept warm. The meal for my friend & I was served o quickly that it could not possibly have been cooked fresh.

Great fresh scones and range of drinks. Self service lay out makes it slow though and seating very cramped with people bumping into you. So food great but seating and layout would need work I think.

I took my mother here for lunch as last time we had eaten downstairs at the self service restaurant and were disappointed. Once again we were very disappointed. We both chose the burger and a glass of wine each. The food arrived so quickly and the burger was so dry that it was obviously all precooked. The bun was hard and slightly burnt so we both left that. The staff were quite disinterested and it took a long time and two reminders to get some water. It cost us €45. That is an outrageous price for what we got. I will never go back.

Went there for a cappuccino with my mother. The service is friendly but very, very slow. The coffee was awful, tea was warm. The cakes taste good but overpriced. There is absolutely no atmosphere. Advertising for the place is great but very disappointing overall. I will not be visiting again.

WORST MEAL EVER. Ate here with my family from carvery and thought it was the worst I have ever had in Dublin, Could get a lot better from pub food. Beef was cold and they tried to heat with gravy, Salmon was ok but when asked for tartare sauce - told they would bring to us shortly - 10 minutes later there no sign of it. 2 of the party choose coffee & cakes - if you do not like cup cakes then this is not the place for you, Had Lemon Drizzle cake but it was very dry and no taste of lemon Will definitely not be returning here or recommending to anybody

Had a really awful dish there on Sunday. The chicken was not at all what was described on the menu. It was served on top of the same pasta sauce my 2 year old was eating and was missing ingredients stated on the menu. The rosemary potatoes were greasy and the coffee was beyond disgusting and the prices were far too high. We were not asked once how our meals were even when 3 out of the 5 dishes that were collected were obvously not even half finished. Also we were not happy to be shown to the worst table in the place when there were numerous empty tables in the nice part. On a more positive note the decor was nice. Will not be back and wil not be recommending this place. Have since heard similar stories from friends. Which is a pity as we are locals.

The food is advertisied as fresh, my wife had the salmon and it was dried out by being under the heat lamps for far too long, the roast potatoes looked fine but tasted horrible (more like salad potatoes than roosters) and the carrots were sort of ok. I had the moroco lamb, but there was very little lamb. Itried the apple tart with some cream, but the tart was tastless. I think Clodagh should come and taste the food because I will not be back. Value for money, none.

This is the first review I have ever written, but was so disappointed by Clodagh's Kitchen in Blackrock when I went there with friends for lunch on saturday. We - all three locals - agreed its looks cool but the food is not good - small, bland, costly portions. We ordered coffees afterwards which were like tar, and had order high water to dilute them which took a while to arrive- no decaf available. Its only open a few days so perhaps it needs a while to find its feet, but unfortunately I will not be bringing anyone back again. We three went home still hungry...there's a lot of good cafes, restaurants in Blackrock, any of which Id prefer to eat in next time : (

Perhaps this works as it is because people are in Arnotts to shop and not to eat?? If this was a cafe/restaurant by it's own right, I think they might have work a bit harder. So I found the breakfast we had adequate in nice surroundings before we ran off into the shop to get a load of things done.
