Admiral Restaurant 3.5 star review: It was early evening when we dined here and and it was v quiet. starters of garlic mushrooms and baltic beer snacks and traditional stew and stewed baby wildboar for mains. The food was tasty and i will def go back again, maybe later in the evening see if the atmosphere is better (ive passed here a lot and it seems to be).

Admiral Restaurant 1.0 star review: Came here with friends and was not impressed.
When we arrived, most of the menu that is online was not available. That was disappointing as I had spotted some dishes beforehand that I would have liked to try. It took quite a while for the waitress to come back to take our orders and we were not asked if we would like anything to drink. I eventually got to order a drink when the starter arrived. Later on, I asked for another drink and it never appeared.
The starter I had was the chicken wings. Unfortunately they were akin to something you would find in Centra. Nothing really wrong with that but I would expect more in a restaurant.
For mains, most of us went for the barbecue. I had the pork version. The meat itself was fine but the sides consisted of sauerkraut, grated carrot and a few tomatoes. A side of chips was extra, and not properly cooked. My friends chose the mashed potato side which was even worse...it seemed to be Smash. One friend had the pork chop. With what appeared to be an Easy Single melted on it, it was like something off Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares. All in all, none of the food was worth the money we paid for it.
The only good thing I can say is that the atmosphere was good fun. However, I can get that elsewhere, and won't be back here.

Admiral Restaurant 5.0 star review: I have been there on numerous occasions, and I have to say its just a great experience. The food is very taste and their menu ranges from seafood to uncommon meat dishes. I never had food there I did not like.
However the last time I asked to change the mashed potatoe to rice which I had to pay extra then :( and I asked to get the food without cheese, the cook forgot and I coud not eat until 15 minutes later when I got a new dish. Can happen I was just disappointet that I still had to pay for my rice as a extra, would have found it nice if I had gotten it for free. Beside that the service can be a bit harsh but its a lovely experience especially at the weekends when they have live singers. Also they have a nice vodka and cocktail range.

Admiral Restaurant 5.0 star review: The decor here is just great! Nautical theme everywhere.
Three of us went after work - food a little bit different - but in a good way. The portions were big. Unfortunately they didn't have the chicken skewer so I had to have pork instead, however it was very good. My colleagues had wild boar and duck. We all thought the food was good. They had a special offer that if you buy a starter and main then you can have a cocktail or glass of wine or dessert free. The waitress didn't point this out to us, we just happened to see a flyer about it on another table. It's a pity they don't do an early bird menu, but I would go there again. It serainly is different.

Admiral Restaurant 4.5 star review: Went for dinner at Admiral with friends. Food was delicious for starters (sups and some traditional Russian snacks.) Mains (pork barbeque)wasn't that tasty as it was expected, but food presentation was excellent. Probably if it was served with a mash potato - I would like more than I did with rice. Deserts was yumm. The staff are very nice and the service was great

Admiral Restaurant 4.5 star review: We have been here numerous times, the most recent being New Years Eve. On all of these visits, we found the atmosphere to be very welcoming and inviting, and promoting inclusion in all events. The food is always very varied, and no matter what you order it is of excellent quality. The service however, can sometimes be a little sub-par, due to the restaurant being understaffed. The people who ARE on the floor however, do their best, considering the pressure they must be under, to cater for the customers they have.
As for value, the lunch menu has to be unbeatable in Dublin, considering what you get and the quality of same. Evening menu, while excellent, is a little pricey for the average diner, but like in everything else in life......you get what you pay for.

Admiral Restaurant 3.0 star review: Went to the Admiral for lunch today got the value lunch menu which is definitely good value for the portions you get i had the pork with mozzerella and mushrooms it had a sneaky layer of mayo lurking underneath it which i didn't enjoy, but my boyfriend really liked his one even though it wasn't what he ordered the food took a long time to come for an almost empty restuarant, We got lovely rye bread with nice butter and garlic which was really nice I think it was more my personal taste that made me not enjoy it as much because i do think it's good value and the portions are huge I would go back to try something else out of curiousity but only because it is so cheap, I would recomment it to men who like large portions and large cuts of meat
