Prego's is one of the few and maybe one of the only restaurants in the Dublin area that offers a full coeliac menu including coeliac pizza's, with the support of the Coeliac Society of Ireland, Prego's is fast becoming a firm favourite. Prego's restaurant has been nestled in Ballyowen Shopping Centre for the past two years. Offering an extensive menu of Italian dishes. The Head Chef Danilo Barone hails from the south of Italy from along the Amalfi coast where good fresh food is not only an institution but also a religion, a hobby and a way of life. The main menu is made together Danilo Barone & Lucio Paduano. They also have a very special wine list which most of of the wine come from south of Italy & a special prosecco from tuscana region

Said i would try the Take away again and more fool me. As always the order was wrong and delivered cold. The item that was sent to me was the cheaper item and i was charged for the more expensive one. When I rang to try get the mix up sorted i was told they where closed and there is nothing they can do for me. so im left out of pocket and hungry..avoid this place it is not worth the money and customer service is awful.

This restaurant is top notch. Service is prompt without rushing you and the food is excellent. Definitely good value for money. The portions are very substantial and the atmosphere is comfortable.

My husband and I were there last night and had a really lovely time. We had been told it was a little gem and after our experience we both agree. It's a small restaurant but its very authentic, a real Italian feel. Candles all around make it very romantic. The service was impeccable and the food was remarkable. I had a delicious starter, prawns in a 'finger-licking-good' creamy pesto sauce followed by a beautifullypresented hake dish. My husband had filet stake and for starter a very tasty risotto. We'll be back for sure!

I was in Prego's last saturday after a trip in Italy with five other friends. we booked the table for 9.o'clock,was a lovely atmosphere with floor staff very careful in the simple details and helpful in the explaination of the menu.We asked for some suggestions in starters,and after that we were so happy to our enquiries on the menu.We got lovely fresh clams and mussels sautee', prawns in creamy pesto sauce and nice caprese salad..For the mains i got a beautiful sea bass with saffron and leeks sauce, while my friends had a ryb eye steak cooked to perfection,and the prego's tagliatelle were just fresh and creamy.Was just a great night in a pretty and genuine Italian restaurant.Prego's, thank you very much. I will be definitly see you soon

Booked table for group of friends & was advised would have to pay deposit, when bill arrived no mention of the deposit so had to refer back to waiter- the deposit was not taken off the bill. When I got my Credit Card statement had been charged twice for deposit so called into restaurant, manager not there & he would call, week ltr no word so called and he said he had been to busy to return my call, visited restaurant & manager wanted to keep my CC statement and basically threw money at me when I would not give him my statement. Whilst the food and atmosphere had been nice the attitude and behaviour to customer service was atrocious so I wont be going back there. I was very upset at how rude and unprofessional the whole experience had been.

I used to visit Prego's & use the takeaway regularly when I lived in Lucan so I was looking forward to my return visit. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the service we received tonight. We were booked in for 8.30pm. When we arrived we were not shown to our table & then had a half hour wait for the menu as we could not gain eye contact with the waiters. When we did get the menus we ordered water which was brought to the table but with no glasses. It was 9.30 when we got the starters! The food was ok, not as I remembered from before. Maybe it was just this night but it was not overly busy! Its a shame as I did like the restaurant but don't think I'll be returning again.

The food was gorgeous (especially the prawn started I had with the dipping bread), the service was brilliant and there was a lovely cosy atmosphere here. An added plus was the really reasonable price. I'll definitely be back

Absolutely love the food there. I have had take away from there and sit down dinners. The food is of excellent quality and the service is impeccable! We went for the set dinner for 2 courses. I had the calamari and my partner had the cesar salad. His starter was the best cesar salad I've ever had! The calamari were also very good. Then I had the stuffed ravioli with ricotta and spinach, which was divine! The portions are generous and the food delicious so I will be back again! Also, their take away food is of equal quality, all being cooked on the spot! Top marks!!

The food is great. And it is such good value for what you get . Have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal. The service is good and the place is quite small. That would be my only complaint, because it is so small, there doesnt be much atmosphere, however the great food makes up for this.

I love this restaurant! I found it on menupages when i was searching for a ceoliac friendly restaurant near to where I live. Had a little trouble finding it as its hidden away in a shopping centre but that sort of added to the nights experience. You go up the stairs in their takeaway and find yourself in a bright, spacious piece of Italian heaven!
The waiters were smiling and friendly and the food arrived without delay.
I had the Bistecca Al Peppe Nero
a melt in the mouth rib eye steak served on a bed of the creamiest mashed potatoe I've ever had and covered in a delicious sauce. Of the other members of my party two had pasta dishes, both of which were creamy and full flavoured and the other had seafood which was served in a brilliant presentation.
The total cost of the meal was surprisingly low and it was a very enjoyable evening out.
The waiters were smiling and friendly and the food arrived without delay.
