Arc Cafe Bar 5.0 star review: What can I say about Arc. Sunday gone was my first time to eat there, and we were seated in this lovely open area beside a glass fire. There were lots to choose from on the menu. We had the shrimp to start between us and it was delicious. For mains I had the chicken, which was so tender and full of flavour. My partner had the prawns and said they were the best she has had for some time. I had the crumble to finish with custard. The lady that served us was really helpful and I thank you for recommending the chicken dish. If you have not been here before I suggest you give it a go. Great food, super service, fantastic value. We do hope to return soon and thank you Arc for a lovey dinning xperience

Arc Cafe Bar 4.0 star review: met another couple for a night out - reservation well handled - nice spot in the upstairs area - service was attentive and warm - had the nights special app - fishcakes - amazing - waitress suggested a chicken korma - authentic taste - obviously all made from scratch - all 4 of us finished with homemade desserts - really nice - coffee was also not notch - a step above any pub style - more like a bistro restaurant atmosphere

Arc Cafe Bar 2.5 star review: I went to the Arc Sunday evening and was totally not impressed. For starters i had caesar salad which was actually lovely but for €7.95 (€2 extra) for a bit of chicken i thought it was a bit much. My husband had shrimps which were lovely but again a bit pricey for 4 little pieces. The main course was where they really let themselves down. I had the pork belly which was a really small piece of pork, crackling and a side portion of chips. The pork belly i should of been able to slide my knife through but i found i had to saw through. The crackling could of broken a tooth it was that hard. It tasted like it had been cooked hours before. The chips also tasted like they had been cooked hours before and reheated. My husband had the ravoli and the sauce was so bland like it came from a jar.

Overall their portions sizes were so small, that the quality should of been of a high level, but we were left hungary and disappointed.

I used to always go to the Arc for a treat but now i will be looking elsewhere.

Arc Cafe Bar 1.0 star review: Have visited the Arc before and found it OK. Visited her on Friday evening about 6.20pm, not busy but a few people around. Nobody at the door to seat guests. Eventually a waiter came and showed us to a table right at the doorway. Asked if there was somewhere at the back as there was a breeze coming in thorough the doorway that would knock you out. He said he would seat us upstairs then proceeded to ask a couple who he had obviously just seated would they like to move and then he disappeared!! so we followed along like sheep and sat down at a table near the window. Menus left on the table. About 10minutes passed and a waitress came to take our order!!! we hadnt even ordered a drink yet. We hadnt been offered the early bird menu or any other specials available. We ordered our food first and then our drinks. I ordered a starter of Ceasar salad as a main course and a selection of breads. My guest ordered Southern Fried Chicken with French Fries not the homemade cut chips with the skins. Salad arrived with cold chicken not like the warm fried chicken as discribed. My guests chips looked like they had been sitting in the deep fat fryer all day and dipped back into the hot oil. The selection of homemade bread where 2 slices of a stale roll with 2 slices of yet again stale brown bread. Nothing homemade or selective about them. Overall very very disappointing and the service was dreadful. Waited for around 15 minutes for a drink at one stage. To add insult to injury the heating was definitely not working on the night and the cold breeze that wafted thorough the area was un-natural we ended up putting on our coats to keep warm!! Will not be returning to this over-rated pub/restaurant.

Arc Cafe Bar 4.5 star review: Visited the carvery which was very well presented Both of us had the rib beef with the works. Always a worry with veg from carvery but we were pleased with the choice turnips, carrotts, cabbage, lovely creamy mash and Garlic potatoes. We were also offered yorkshire pudding stuffing and gravy.
All piping hot. The staff were very helpful pleasant and eager to please.
Really enjoyed our lunch. Did not try desserts but felt choice was not great.

Arc Cafe Bar 5.0 star review: We ate here with a MenuPages offer and were delighted with our meal. It was the first offer I'd purchased and I was concerned that we would be eating off a reduced menu - but not at all. The food was gorgeous - he had duck spring rolls and I had the fishcakes. Then I had a divine ceasar salad and he had the beef and guinesss pie. So stuffed but managed to fit in some dessert. Lovely touch to have the glass of prosecco included in the voucher! Great food in a great spot!

Arc Cafe Bar 4.0 star review: Myself and hubby used our menu pages deal last week and were very pleasantly surprised. Food was fabulous and the service was very friendly. We had the prawns and the crab cakes, crab cakes were gorgeous, very light and so tasty. Then we had the lamb shank and sea bass, both were gorgeous and woud have either of them again. Portions were generous so didnt have much room for dessert but tried them anyway and were lovely! Would definitely eat here again.

Arc Cafe Bar 5.0 star review: Myself and my partner used our Menu Pages deal for a meal out last night. The food was excellent, we could not fault it. We are so impressed we will be back! Thanks to Denise who served us, she was a pleasure to deal with. We had starters of soup and Duck spring rolls - both presented excellent and tasted divine, the spring rolls come on a bed of noddles with salad leaves. We both had the Fillet for mains served on a bed of Chap Mash, excellent! We had eaten too much to have room for dessert - but coffee was lovely!
