Lovely cosy, comfortable on a chilly night in May! Really enjoyed our visit - lovely food, great service and plenty of time to eat and digest our food! Spicy prawns, baked aubergine, rib-eye steak and chicken with mushrooms - all fab! We will definitely be returning!

This is actually 2 reviews in1 as visited Saturday the 12th and also weekend previous. It is so v. nice to be able to write a positive review actually advising people to visit. Both nights spot on. Hubby's birthday on the 1st visit. He had the "new" spicy prawns. And they certainly did what they said on the tin. Spicy and full of garlic and v. much enjoyed. I had the calamari (a house special) and explained in detail to me. Soaked in milk overnight so tender and delish. Not a rubber band in sight. Mr. Boop had the steak, fine, nice but just steak. But my veal, yum. So v.v. Italian. (The one on the main menu). So full but shared the choc fondent and 2 coffees. Next visit with 2 friends. Even better than 1st time. Again I had calamari (but went with the set menu), hubby had the mixed seafood, friends choices of 1 pate and 1 spicy prawns. All lovely. This time I had the veal on set menu, in lemon and white wine. Beautiful. 2 had the lamb cutlets and 1 the chicken. All empty plates. All the time service is attentive but not in your face. V. friendly and helpful waiters. We shared 2 choc fondents and coffees. We were then offered choice of Italian drink on house. A lovely night, lovely food and service and can't wait for my next visit. My only slight niggle would be that wines are quite expensive and I would like a couple of "not so expensive" ones to chose from and also their steak is a little expensive for what it is. But rest of menu great especially the "set menu".

I went to this restaurant wIth a friend of mine on Saturday night as it had come highly recommended by friends. It was a cold night outside and the atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting. There was a reasonable set menu available but I found the main courses quite limited. The carpaccio is delicious and definitely worth a taste, however, I was disappointed with my seafood pasta. The chocolate fondant was to die for and the staff are friendly and attentive. All in all it was an enjoyable night and definitely worth a try.
