4.5 D'arcy McGee's Pub and Restaurant 4.5 star review:
I booked D'arcy McGees after the sudden death of a loved one, I spoke with the manager the day before the funeral, and I found him to be very helpful, I found their professionalism and service to be second to none. We were greeted at the door and shown to our tables, the food was great and the staff more than helpful, and I found that their experience in dealing with funerals helped take some of the stress away from my family on what was such a sad day.
I had my 30th birthday party in their Venue a few months back and again found the service, food and staff to be fantastic.
That's why i would have no trouble in recommending D'arcy McGees to any friends or family.

My husband and I are frequent customers. In my opinion this is one of the best pubs around. Carvery is fast and sufficient. Really nice modestly priced food on their a La Carte menu, which has a huge selection to choose from. There is always a buzzing atmosphere about the place. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. I would reccommend Darcy Mcgees to everyone!

Myself and my partner have eaten here twice now and both times have been very happy with the quality of the food served and value for money. Service between courses can be a little slow but sometimes that's not a bad thing. We also had a family meal out with 14 people and have to say it too was great, everybody loved the food and commented on how reasonable the bill was at the end of the evening. It did get particularly hot at one stage but maybe because we were seated beside the kitchen. The staff are extremely polite, friendly and efficient. Overall I would recommend D'arcy McGee's as somewhere reasonably priced with a relaxed athmosphere and quality food.

Had a meal here last night. Great selection of steaks, curries, wraps, nachos, fish etc. Polite and friendly staff. A little slow with the food however. Great food. To be honest I was surprised as would not have thought of The Spawell as a place for good food but I would definitely return here.

We booked a table for 18 people and specifically asked for us all to be sitting together as it was a family ocassion. When we arrived, they seemed to have forgot the booking (or else had us placed on different tables). Within 5 minutes, they gave us an option of tables and had everything sorted quickly. The menu was good and varied. The food was good, starters went great, although with such a large table, there seemed to be some confusion on the main courses and some dishes were delayed, but were all lovely when they did arrive. The only down side was on the desserts, 2 of us ordered cheesecake and when we tasted it, it was clearly gone off. There was no issue with taking these off the bill and we were offered alternative desserts. All in all, the evening was enjoyable, food and service was good and we will probably return although probably in a smaller group.

had lunch here a few times, its a carvery at lunch time and is really nice considering the usual quality of carvery. Its nice and quick too if your in a rush. However, once the carvery is finished and it switches to menu and table service, the food is still very nice but its a pity to say the service is very very slow. I will go back regularly as the food is so good, and would love to see an improvement in the speed of table service.
