Had a take-away from here last Wednesday. You can eat in but it is very much a take-away shop with some tables. They have improved the decor recently and there are nice tablecloths etc. That is the only reason there is a low atmosphere rating. Otherwise the food is delicious and the service was much improved - very courteous. As ever there were crisp fresh poppadums while waiting - 10 mins or so due to a big order already in. It was well worth it. The food was fresh, full of flavour and every dish was distinct. We had chicken pasanda which was a far cry from the numerous bland incarnations I have had before. It was subtle, creamy, sweet and nutty. The Beef Rogan Josh was hot and slightly fruity without just burning. The Saag Paneer and the Bombay Aloo were 2 of the best I have had in Dublin. This food is not sophisticated but it is exceptionally tasty and satisfying. Am really looking forward to a return trip.

Hi, I just ordered a takeaway from Bu Ali. I ordered Chicken Bhuna, Pilau Rice and Coriander Nan. I placed my order on the phone. It was delivered quickly. It was tasty and it only cost €12.95! The staff were friendly also. I would recommend Bu Ali to anyone

I can actually remember the date I last ate here. So it's now been over two months and this is way too long. Anyway, went for the lamb bhuna and teh chicken pasanda. Both dishes were simply sublime. However, if you do order from here, you have got to try the lamb. I simply do not know how they get it so tender. Many a restaurant would do well to get near this. I have never been let down yet. Viva Bu Ali!
