I went to Cinnamon at the weekend to meet a friend for a quiet drink. The atmosphere in the evenings is really lovely, very relaxed vibe, I could have sat there for hours..actually, I did! I have eaten in Cinammon before and always throughly enjoyed the food but on this occasion I was just in the mood for some quiet time and nice wine. The selection of wine by the glass is very very good. I like that they are starting to serve a small selection of beer too (although not a beer drinker myself I think its a good move). All in all a very enjoyable experience, perfect atmosphere avec delicious wine! A happy customer indeed.

Ate in Ranelagh’s new Cinnamon restaurant at the weekend. Just popped in for brunch on Sunday, have to say I will definitely be back. The interior of the place has an old airy feel to it it looks like it’s very much still under construction though. Brunch menu – loads to choose from; I had scrambled eggs with portobello mushrooms and Tadhg had French toast with maple syrup. Both delicious. Waitress did forget the bacon with the French toast and seemed v confused about what to do when asked for the bacon, taking the plate of French toast to bring back to kitchen but before she had it even off the table dropping it back down and saying i’l just get the bacon on another plate. Early teething problems that will hopefully be ironed out as this is a great new addition to ranelagh.

Tried again as I was meeting friends in the area who wished to sample it. Again service was awful, slow and not friendly. The food was presented well but my eggs were totally undercooked. I do not like them over cooked like some places do but these needed another 3 minutes to even set. Coffee was good. I wont be back
