This place has the best atmosphere at night and has a lovely friendly staff. It is the kind of pl;ace you can go with your friends, relax and have a laugh.

Great staff! Great atmosphere! Spectacular Guinness! I wouldn't be anywhere else if i had a couple of hour to relax! 11 out of 10. well done, keep up the real Irish Spirit!

My heart nearly skipped a beat whilst they were doing up my lovely Birchalls. Ok, the place did need a refurb. but I was terrified, they were going to wreck its character like they have with other pubs in the area. I needn't have worried, the place has been refurbed, but kept its old world charm. I particularly like the mix of people in this bar, from students to people in their 80s. Definitely, the best pub in Ranelagh, they serve basic toasted sandwiches too, which can be hard to find in this panini laden market.
