Mao Restaurant (Dundrum) 3.5 star review: Mao is always a safe option but is a little on the pricey side. The nasi goreng is an old time favourite however on this occasion I had the plum duck which was delicious! Will return again but not a masssive fan of all the tables on top of each other. Can often feel a bit cramped.

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum) 3.0 star review: The food is reasonable but expensive for an Asian restaurant in a shopping centre. If you like sitting outside is one of the few restaurants that has more than 2 tables...nice change if the weather is good.

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum) 4.0 star review: Newly-renovated. Mao was a pleasant find. Somewhat sterile, but busy restaurant. Food was tasty, and with an O2 voucher, it turned out to be excellent value!

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum) 3.5 star review: My boyfriend and I have been to Mao a few times before. I had the tofu thai green curry with noodles (instead of jasmine rice) which I thought was very tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed. My boyfriend had the Pad Thai which he enjoyed also.

It was the service and not the food that left a bad taste in our mouths. Generally the service was good all night with staff generally being very friendly and helpful. However, we were not impressed with one particular staff member. We had a Yummy Drummy card (discount card for Dundrum Town Centre) and were told my the staff member that they do not accept them. She was very rude and snappy about this.

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum) 5.0 star review: Great lunch menu for a quick stop while shopping, Singapore noodles with chicken and prawns are my favourite, followed closely by their thai green curry.
Great food for a great price. However last time i was here over christmas they overcharged our group for 5 cocktails - 25 euro.! We spent over half an hour waiting as the waitress went back and forth, admitting she had miscalculated one cocktail each time she came back. An irritating end to a good meal, and we didn't even get an apology in the end!

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum) 3.5 star review: mixed starters plate, honey prawns, chicken satay, chicken wings, salad, 3 dipping sauces. Good, not great, needs more spicing. I wonder have they toned down the spicing from the original in Chatham Street, which was a bit more authentic the last time I was there. Maybe the typical Dundrum shopping centre punters are not so keen on chilli!

Mao Restaurant (Dundrum) 4.0 star review: I come here often and my favorite dish on the menu is the nasi goreng. The portion size is huge, and the dish itself is to die for.

The staff are always pleasant enough, and the service acceptable. They do a great lunch special for about 9.50 euro, which gets you get a nicely portioned meal (there's a good choice from some of their most popular main courses) and a beverage.

I will return here regularly until I get tired of eating their nasi goreng - although, I can't see that happening anytime soon.

All three of us enjoyed our mains- i had the chilli beef noodles-v nice :)
Was DYING for chocolate so had some chocolate cake for dessert unfortunately this wasn't nice at all. had an expresso which was probably the worst ever! my friends each had a tea which they said was very nice but how hard is it to get tea wrong.....
