Ananda 4.5 star review: We went to a Food & Wine Magazine dinner at Ananda's a year ago and were astounded at the quality of the food -- very, very posh Indian/European, a truly memorable meal. Went back for our anniversary and enjoyed it thoroughly. The little amuse bouche just shows what proper spicing and imagination can do with the humble spud. I have to say we still like Chakra in Greystones (our "local" branch of the wonderful Jaipur chain) best, though. And that's best of any restaurant in Ireland.

Ananda 4.0 star review: Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and a new years eve meal in one. Atmosphere is excellent, nice and busy but not too noisy. The food is amazing!! Prawns for starters were fresh and huge, also crab meat in a little jar was delicious. Mains were made to our liking (HOT) and we had tea to finish. On top of all that we had a bottle of house white which was good. Total came to €110 ex tip, Yikes.... Won't be eating again unless I get a better early bird deal or something but will be keeping a look out for it for sure!

Ananda 3.5 star review: A good Indian restaurant. For some reason I felt hungry after, portions perhaps on the small side. Taste very good. Was a little dissapointed, as I heard lot about it. Expensive for what you get perhaps

Ananda 5.0 star review: We have been many times to Ananda and last night was as good as ever, fantastic service, lovely decor and fantastic food. For my mind, THE best Indian in Dublin. In fact, I have eaten in Benares in London and think Ananda is better! Looking forward to my next visit....

Ananda 4.0 star review: Ate here for the great value early bird menu and will definitely return! Not usually fans of Indian food but this changed our minds. Great choice on the menu and very helpful staff although a bit odd that the waiter checked his watch before taking our order! Good wine list also with many resonable options. Chutneys with the popadums were lovely very well flavoured. Had the chicken and lamb starters both delicious although the lamb was a challenge as the portion was large- not a bad thing! Mains were the Guineafowl, very unusual served on bed of potatoes with a delicious sauce - absolutely lovely. Also had the Chickpea main which was delicious although not very spicey but our lovely waitress brought some green chilli's which solved the problem. Didn't do dessert as we were stuffed after. An altogether enjoyable experience would recommend

Ananda 4.0 star review: It was a treat to eat at Ananda last week. The service was polished and the food presentation was beautiful. A bit on the expensive so not a weekly outing I would think. The starters were unequal in size despite the cheapesr being 10 euro. I will return however.

Ananda 3.5 star review: Visited on a Thursday evening, not packed but moderately busy - the atmosphere wasn't anything special. Ordered the Ananda Mahsahari Thaali (Vegetarian) option : 27 euros. It was nice, couldn't really fault the quality of the food, but bloody expensive for a vegetarian option - smallish starter portions of potatoes, dal, spinach and spicy lentils with rice & nan bread. Maybe other items are worth it but not this one in my opinion - I'd have said it felt more like a 16 euros dish. Wine was nice and the markup on that menu seemed reasonable enough.

Ananda 4.5 star review: Fantastic food (the lamb shank is one of my favourites), super service, great cocktails and large wine list. They also do a great early bird menu. The best restaurant in Dundrum. Just try it, you will be happy that you did.
