I have been a fan of Alexis since it opened and it continues to amaze me with beautiful high quality ingredients cooked in such a way as to bring the best flavour possible from each one and cooked and served by people who really care about what they do. All in all Alexis is the best dining experience on the south side of Dublin. Since its refurbishment some months back it has been transformed from a bustling bistro to a classy eaterie. There are a wide variety of dishes to choose from (I have tried most) and a delicious organic wine list to suit all foods and all tastes. On my last visit I had a beautiful delicate Pork and celery starter, Slow cooked rib of beef for main and Lemon tart for dessert. I don't know how Alexis can produce this type of food for the prices they charge.Seems impossible.

Alexis has been on my list of places to eat in the evening for a while to experience their new-look which is great, unfortunately the menu didn't live up to expectations. The choice was very limited though did cover all bases - vegetarian, fish and meat. We all ended up having two starters enjoying the lovely pate for our mains. The service was adequate and the bill was reasonable but the whole experience was just missing something and felt very bland.

Had a birthday dinner here recently with my husband. Alexis has continued to have a consistent standard of service, food & very good value. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & really could not fault anything. We will be back!
