Koishi is a spectacular place to eat. We are sushi connoisseurs, and this is the BEST. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children. All 4 of us were well pleased with everything we ate. The kids were actually double-fisting the dumplings because they were that good. In addition to the delicious food, we found the service to be outstanding, the atmosphere perfect and the price to be very reasonable. We look forward to eating at Koishi any time we visit Dublin!

A group of four went for a birthday meal between Christmas and New Year - we arrived at the restaurant at 8pm to find the place was completely empty, which is never a good sign.
That said, all fears and concerns were quickly averted. The staff were incredibly helpful and provided guidance on the menu. The food was incredible and we will definitely be returning.
We shared a variety of sushi platters, were very well fed, had two bottles of wine and the bill came in around €180 which we felt was excellent value for the quality of the food served. Easily the best Japanese food in Dublin. Highly recommended.

As usual, fantastic food, good wine and lovey atmosphere. I know the place since the start, I did not go back for long time due to some time abroad but at least few things do not change in Dublin. Highly recommanded!!!!

I ate here with my partner during the week it was not busy only 3 other tables The place has simple decor ,but it is Really clean & cosy with traditional back round Japanese music which was very relaxing a very nice space to wind down as you ate after a busy day ,Comfortable restaurant with the emphasis on the food and service .
our waiter was excellent and explained all the dishes and as i am a coeliac he was extremely helpfull as to what contained wheat flour or not ..after a complementary appetizer of soya beens and sides ..( anice touch ) we had a shared starter of beef wrapped over cherry tomatoes a lovely texture and cooked perfect
For mains we shared a Sushi and Sahimi selection it was exceptionally good Sushi ,really fresh the salmon and octopus were wonderfull in texture and taste in fact the whole of the selection was really superb quality and Good value for money ,Our Waiter was attentive and great on explaining the different dishes in in detail ,.We had glasses of red and white wines both pleasant enough .The wine list was a good cross section of safe wines but a bit on the small side ,The whole Experience was Relaxing .and it is a Simple place with wonderfully Fresh Sushi and that great feeling of not being overfull after it was very good Value especially for the quality of the food . We will be back and also will try the takeaway service ..

we visited this family run restaurant during horse show week.It is very homely and welcoming and we were immediately shown to our table. There is an exensive menu with a great selection of sushi and a good wine list..We enjoyed an interesting variety of vegetable nibbles while we made our choice. The avocado sushi did not disappoint and both the teriyaki beef and chicken would melt in your mouth, good portion size too. This was all washed down with a bottle of house white and made for a most enjoyable evening. They provide service without servility and had a good rapport with their clients. Our only fault was the hot food coming out on cold plates, it went cold quickly , we made this point on paying the bill and they took it on board. The price represented good value for money and we would recommend this restaurant.

This is a great restaurant. The sushi here is very fresh and all the other dishes are very authentic. I always have the gyoza (which are amazing), and the Tonkatsudon (pork cutlet on rice). The staff are pleasant and very attentive. They also do takeaway and delivery, I have always found this to be of an equally high standard.
I know that this is where the Japanese embassy staff come for celebrations which is a good indication of the quality of the food.

Can't understand why this place isn't busier! Owner and server gave terrific service (very family friendly.) Yaki Udon much tastier than Wagas! Sushi was really good - this is so unusal top get good sushi in Ireland.
Miso Tempura was great too - didnmt expect such a high standard in a suburban restaurant.
Price was spot on value for money.

I have to say I love this place. My boyfriend brought me here for our first date nearly 18 months ago and we try to come back as much as possible. It is a little pricey, but as pointed out by other reviwers, sushi is pricey in Ireland. Since our first visit we have tried plenty of things. The gyoza and the handmade duck spring rolls are 2 of our favourites! They always have a friendly welcoming greeting and as they get to know you they will remember your regular choices and ask if you'd like them on order while you're deciding on your other options. I like this extra touch especially as we might not have been in a while and it's nice to be remembered! They give every table a basket of complimentary endame / soya beans and pickled veg which we normally devour. The staff are always smiling and friendly and whether the restaurant is busy or not the quality of food is always of a high standard. So much so that whenever I visit I always order takeaway for my lunch the next day! And my work colleagues are always jealous!

this is the best japanese food I have tasted!!!
I went here with some japanese colleagues last week and was in heaven!
first course of a full sea bream on a bed of ice with fresh salmon, mackrel and clam...wow! it is was the most amazing sushi!
All food was beautifully presented and the staff could not have done more.
I'd go back in a heartbeat.
I'd never eat sushi anywhere else in Dublin
