Canal Bank Cafe 5.0 star review: Quite a regular at the Canal Bank, which is a bit of a dangerous thing as I only ever order the Wings, which given the portion size and my disgraceful ability to over indulge in them leads to it being a bit dangerous in my opinion! If your a chicken wing person there is no beating Canal Bank. Tribeca is excellent and Elephant & Castle only ok from my recent visits. Canal bank for me wins hands down. Cant comment on any of their other food as I only ever eat the wings, but from what I have seen it does look excellent. Have been there loads of times before and will be there loads of times again therefoore I would highly reccomend!

Canal Bank Cafe 5.0 star review: first time trying this restaurant last night as I usually go to their sister restaurant Tribeca in Ranelagh. I was not disappointed! They have all the same great food that Tribeca boasts, and it's a really lovely spot. I went with a group of 8 and the service was great, the food was delicious. Portion sizes are plentiful and we all left happy.

Canal Bank Cafe 4.0 star review: I eat regularly enough in Canal Bank - usually on a weekday evening or for Saturday/Sunday brunch. The consistency of the food is what keeps me coming back.

I ate there on Saturday afternoon last and this visit was no different to any previous. I ordered the buffalo wings while my partner had a chicken with avocado salad from the specials menu. Both courses were delivered speedily and the food, as always, was top notch. I've never managed to completely polish off a portion of the wings....maybe next time!

The atmosphere was great and the service was very friendly. I would highly recommend Canal Bank for a weekend lunch/dinner with friends - perfect place to get your evening started!

Canal Bank Cafe 4.5 star review: Consistently good. A nice atmosphere is guaranteed with a lovely menu to accompany it. This restaurant is known for their chicken wings - and should be. The calamari was cooked perfectly and both the bacon & poached egg salad and chicken burger had nice flavours. A sundae for dessert was generous in size although slightly difficult to eat out of the tall, slim sundae glass. Not a bad seat in the house. Highly recommend this place.

Canal Bank Cafe 5.0 star review: This is my FAVOURITE casual dining restaurant in Dublin. Everything is spot on - the foot, the atmosphere, the service and the prices. As well as really great comfort food - burgers, fish and chips, THOSE chicken wings, they also do some delicious healthy salads, hearty and more refined mains. Don't miss dessert here. The sundae's and cheesecake are particularly good. What I love about the service is that the staff are really friendly and timing always seems to be just right. They give you plenty of time after mains to wait before ordering dessert. Have never felt rushed here at all. Iced lemony tap water comes on arrival. The also do lovely cocktails if you are willing to splash out. I have seen Colm Tobin and Colin Farrell eating here before. It is a firm fav on the Dublin social scene.

Canal Bank Cafe 5.0 star review: Following a hectic Bank Holiday weekend, a table for 2 was taken at the Canal Bank. Chicken Wings to share to start followed by two battered fish and chips, lovely, filled the gap perfectly. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, just how I like it Just water on this particular night - but service and food were as usual very good.

Canal Bank Cafe 4.5 star review: I got a craving for chicken wings last night so we decided to give Canal Bank Café a try as it was closer than the sister restaurant in Ranelagh (Tribeca). We hadn't booked a table but they were able to seat the pair of us within 10 minutes, not bad for 9pm on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was great, good jazz sounds but not so loud as to hamper conversation. Our waiter took our order promptly - he must have read the hunger on our faces - and was always quick to replenish iced water stocks when they were low, we never had to ask for another drink. The wings were gorgeous. The dip was a bit too cheese-laden for my liking, but it was noticeably fresh, something I find lacking in the area of "house" condiments in many Dublin restaurants. We split a medium-cut fries between us (around 4.25 euro I think) but felt a few more in the portion wouldn't have gone amiss for the money. VERDICT: All around great service and atmosphere, good value for money, will definitely return.

Canal Bank Cafe 5.0 star review: Visited here for a team lunch during the week. Shared the most amazing chicken wings (the old favourite!). 5 of us had the Cod fillet which was absolutely gorgeous and oozed with delicious flavours, and was well complimented with mouth-watering sauted potato . The remainder of the party went for the steak sandwiches which were equally enjoyed. I'm happy to say our lunch hour was jsut about that, services was alot faster than our last lunch-time visit here, Planning the next visit already!
