I go here a lot for lunch. The food is very tasty - the salads are very large and filling, come served with bread as well. However coffee and cakes are a little overpriced especially with the amount of coffee shops offering specials at the moment. Service is quiet poor, it takes a while to get your order in, and your food, they never seem to have enough staff on.

I used to love this cafe style venue and would usually have lunch there at least once a week. Unfortunately, standards have fallen dramatically in tandem with the size of the portions on the plate. The food served used to be wholesome and have a home made feel. Now, all seems to be about cutting down generous fillings in dished, such as the quiche, and reducing the size of the serving down to insignificant dry crumbs on the plate. If there is one thing that restaurants have to learn from this recession, it is that if they wish to survive the crunch, they should offer better quality and better service than ever before...otherwise, their fate will be decided through natural selection; and the cheap and unfriendly approach would not equate to a survival ticket. This place doesn't deserve more than 2 stars at a push since it seems to have put greed above customer satisfaction and customer service. Such a shame ! Such a loss.

I felt obliged to redo my review on this one - after the first time I visited I kep going back to try and get those fantastic potato cakes again... sadly its been one bad experience after another. Complete inflexibility by serving staff (not possible to take beans off the full irish), portions reducing in size on each visit and food arriving at completely different times for everyone on the table. Sadly the relaxing sunday atmosphere just can't make up for it anymore.
