Great value for money - the early bird on a Friday evening. The staff are excellent at filling juice in a babies bottle and bring her ice cream (and not on the bill). The food is very tasty and everyone at the table was delighted with there meal. Deserts aren't great quality but starter and main courses are highly recommended.

This restaurant is in my top two places to eat in the past year. I left it a little late to book however the manager was extremely helpful and accomodated me by checking for cancellations and giving me a table as a result of one. Service throughout was excellent. There was a good management presence at all times. We were made feel extremely welcome from the moment we arrived. Foodwise was faultless. We both chose a mushroom starter which were very good. For mains I had medallions of beef. They were perfectly cooked. The red wine sauce with the beef was fab as was the gratin. My companion had a pizza which he loved. I chose a ferrero rocher cheesecake for desert again highly enjoyable. The atmosphere upstairs was buzzing with a guy singing and playing the piano. This restaurant has a personality something which a lot of places lack. Overall this eatery offers great value for the high level of service and excellent quality of food provided. I would highly recommend anyone to visit here but do book in advance as it is very popular.

€50 for 2 people 3 courses and house wine, fab deal. Service was excellent, water provided without request. New tissues given after each course, which is great, especially for messy eaters! Service was great, place was buzzing, the seating arrangements are great, whether intimate or for a group, all can be looked after. We had a voucher (won in a prize draw) & it made no difference. Food was great, and lots of it, staff v attentive, WILL return. Great offer for 3 courses & wine €50.

3.5 Masterson's Steak House & Wine Bar 3.5 star review:
Had dinner with a group of four. Had never eaten here before but had heard good reviews. This is a large restaurant that holds a lot of people but they keep the tables very well spaced out. The athmosphere was great as people could have fun without being in their neighbours face.
The menu was impressive. The starters of wings and mushrooms we had were very tasty but could have been slightly larger for the price. I was always going to get steak and they have plenty to choose from. These are in the 20-30 price range but the sizes are good. I had T-Bone and it was a good size but a little over cooked. My wife had medallions of beef and this was superb as was the duck I also tried a bite of.
The Eton Mess I had for desert was a disappointment but some of the other deserts at our table were very good.
The menu has lots of options on burgers and meals around the 12-15 euro mark so I would not hesitate in going to Mastersons even if I wanted a light dinner. They also had a good vegetarian selection. Overall very happy with the meal and price. In addition the service was good and they had no problem putting sauces on the side instead of on the plate where requested.

I have eaten here many times and to date I cannot fault it on anything. Today my OH and I both had the Thai Beef Salad for lunch. It was spicy as it should be and delicious. The beef was perfectly tender. The atmosphere was buzzing and the service was pleasant and efficient. We will be returning very soon

Usually I am not a fan of Mastersons having eating there many times, particularly the early bird downstairs. I was pleasantly surprised when we received a voucher and had a wonderful dining experience.
Downstairs was full and so we were seated upstairs. We chose from the al la carte menu, surf and turf on a hot stone with all the trimmings and a fillet steak with all the trimmings (fries, onions & pepper sauce). The food was very tasty, the atmosphere was much warmer and romantic than downstairs. We shared a dessert and I had two glasses of white wine which were lovely (the house wine). Our voucher was for 75 euro and so we did need to put 10 euro to the bill. Overall a lovely experience, however, expensive for what we usually pay for a meal. If I was eating there again I would make sure it is upstairs and from the al la carte menu.

0.5 Masterson's Steak House & Wine Bar 0.5 star review:
I have been a regular visitor to this restaurant for two years and to be perfectly honest I feel it really has gone down hill. The food is ok but the service is absolutely terrible. I visited twice in the space of a week recently and had two bad experiences. The first visit we experienced a 50 minute wait for our mains with no apology (i eat out a lot, never have i waited that long and received no apology). The restaurant was also only half full so there was no explanation for the delay. To top that my food was barely warm. The second visit, with a friend who had never been, we experienced an extremely rude waiter. Our order was taken wrong and we were missing a side, however it took us until the end of our meal to get the attention of the staff. I asked repeatedly for sauces and was snapped at that they were coming, when in fact they did not arrive for 25 mins. When the side arrived the waiter questioned us as to whether we had ordered it to the point where I felt I was being told I was wrong. When we received the bill there was no apology and we were charged for the side. I was really unimpressed with the service and food. I used to really like this place and recommended it to everyone. I was a visitor at least twice a month, but I wont be returning again to be snapped at and ignored by the service.

Ate here midweek with a group of friends - we were seated downstairs near to the kitchen area - while the place was busy all night, have to say we found it very noisy - the lights kept going on and off near to the kitchen area which was a bit annoying. Toilet area was very grubby on the night - in saying all that, can't fault the food in any way and as always staff were very attentive.

Myself and two friends ate here to start off our girly night out. We had booked for eight o clock and we were seated upstairs, to be honest it was jam packed and there was a large party seated beside us as-well as live music so we could barely hear each other talk! This was not a good start!! We all had chicken wings to start - the portions are huge and we should have got one between three instead of one each! as we were quite full when mains came!! I had the chicken campagnola which was delicious but the girls were disappointed with theirs they both opted for fish one the melody of seafood and the other the seabass. Once again portions were quite big and sides were offered even though the seabass came with potatoes already! So needless to say there was a lot of food wasted! The service was good for a busy Saturday night and we received complimentary drinks as the noise from the party was noted! All in all it was ok but I would not rush back to be honest!

I eat here regular enough and I'm never disappointed. Ate here on Saturday night with the girls the service was spot on the food and wine were great. We shared the buffalo wings the sauce is very good. For our mains we had Cajun chicken, All american burger and Rib eye steak. Very good indeed. Only one of us had dessert she had cheese cake said it was ok. We were to full to try it. That was the girls first time there and they really enjoyed it and will return again.
