This little restaurant is one of the best value places we have been for a long time. We went there on a weekend and it was really nice - not overcrowded and discreet music. Tables are well spaced. Food was delicious and plenty of it. 2 starters, 2 mains and dessert with 2 beers and we were stuffed for €42. I would definitely go back again. Well done Excelsior.

First & last time to come here. Food was ok, nothing special about it. Service was absolutely appalling. We had to ask after being seated about 20 mins for prawn crackers. Then the mains weren't all served together, had to wait roughly 10 mins after getting our mains for the fried rice to come out. None of the staff were friendly. Asked for the bill and watched the server go around serving other people & tidying up tables before getting the bill 15 mins later. Very disappointing experience.

We really didn’t have a great night here at all which is really disappointing as we were looking forward to going. The menu online was completely different to the one we received when we arrived. Aswell as this there were only 2 other people eating together in the whole restaurant(not a good sign for a Sunday of a bank holiday). The prawn crackers we had to start were luke warm but the starters of duck pancakes were tasty. However I was disappointed again when the mains came and my fillet beef curry looked and tasted like a ready meal from the supermarket. This is not the standard you expect from any Chinese restaurant. To be fair the staff were lovely but they really did look bored as they only had 2 full tables to look after between the 3 of them. The other main my girlfriend had was a prawn Kung Po and it was very nice but this alone was not a reason to recommend a visit. I wont be back here again anytime soon, and its a shame as Swords does not have an abundance of great places to eat.
