Cafe Provence is situated in the heart of Malahide village, North county Dublin. We open early every morning right through until 9:00pm at night (11pm weekends). During the day, it is a great place to have breakfast, a delicious lunch or a coffee & scone. It is by far the most popular choice in Malahide for daytime dining. Much of our success is due to serving a wide range of delicious home-cooked food and meals as opposed to just sandwiches. We also have some tasty blackboard specials each day for extra variety.

At 5pm we offer an a la carte menu which is quite different from the daytime menu. There is a nice selection of dishes including fresh seafood, steaks, duck, lamb, chicken, pasta and risotto. We also offer an early bird menu all night from Sunday – Thursday and Friday - Saturday from 5pm – 7pm, which is superb value (2 courses for €16.95).

Our restaurant has a capacity of approximately 50 people. It is a popular venue for weddings, christenings, birthdays and other special occasions. Special set menus are available for large parties, which offer great value.

We have recently introduced our party nights with live music and food which have been a great success so far.

Our chefs and floor staff are highly motivated, and dedicated to ensuring that you have a delicious meal and a really pleasant dining experience. We look forward and welcome you to the next time you dine with us.

Cafe Provence 4.5 star review: Absolutely super - breakfast is excellent everytme we go. Breakfast ciabatta and the french toast with maple syrup. Wow. Great coffee and fast , friendly and efficient service. We see it open for dinner but its always empty - a shame as it could be really something at night too.

Cafe Provence 5.0 star review: Love it, I tend get a Caesar salad where ever I go so would be particular about the flavour. Caesar salad here is lovely and fresh and the dressing is fab (even use it to dip the chips into)

Cafe Provence 3.0 star review: Have eaten brunch here several times at the weekends. Normally its packed and has a busy atmosphere. The food is nothing special in my experience. I was particularly unimpressed with the soup last time and the toasted sandwich was poor. In general its ok, however.

Cafe Provence 5.0 star review: A group of 8 friends went here last sat what a lovely cafe very quaint and homely maybe a tad small for groups of people but we managed :-)
The service was prompt, reliable and even though it was a busy saturday night the staff were helpful and professional. The food was delicious and there was a good selection to choose from and the biggest plus was there was no restrictions on the menu we could choose any starter, main, dessert and tea/coffee all for 40 euros for two people :-) :-).
I'd recomend this place for couples as I found it very intimate and romantic.
Both my hubbie and I are going back again this weekend as we were certainly impressed with the food and presentation.
If I was to make one critisim it would be to change carpet on stairs leading to toilets as I found this
to be smelly and that was a surprise as the restaurant itself is brill :-(

Cafe Provence 4.0 star review: We arrived Monday at around 7pm, at short notice, for the Early Bird. There were about a dozen clients, not enough to create atmosphere. However, the charm and vivacity of the young lady who served us more than compensated. The food, in due course - my choice an unpretentious fish and chips - arrived piping hot. The bill for two was less than 40 euro.
Assessment: good wholesome food, pleasantly served, reasonably priced. If you've salted away millions you could go around the corner to James's Terrace. But if you're like the rest of us for whom a meal out comes from a shrinking discretionary income the Cafe Provence is a good option. Better still, come with your friends and make your own atmosphere

Cafe Provence 5.0 star review: Made a late booking for 8:00 of a Saturday evening and have to say glad we did. Staff were extremely courteous, friendly and willing to engage and talk to you. We had 2 bruschetta, a soup and a chicken wings to start and all were a resounding success. For mains we had 3 fish and one fajitas, again no complaints and I like the fact that when fajitas were delivered further tortillas were offered. Dessert was probably the least successful dish but yet there was nothing wrong it it, it's just that most of the options seemed to be a kind of cake/tart and if you weren't interested in that then you would be disappointed. Anyway I had a "class of a sponge" which was very nice. Only disappointing bit was that it wasn't very busy which is a shame. Anyway a great meal, helped by great staff

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
