Bon Appetit Restaurant is synonymous with good food! Located in a classy Georgian Townhouse overlooking the harbour in the village of Malahide, justnorth of Dublin City Centre, it offers three very unique dining experiences. Bon Appetit is the perfect solution for a night out. Oliver Dunne, the executive chef at Bon Appetit, was awarded a Michelin Star in 2008, and has retained the accolade ever since

I had a wonderful evening from start to finish at Bon Appetite restaurant; we had a warm welcome on arrival and were seated in a lovely dining room. The choice of menus was great with a good valued 3 course, surprise tasting menu and prestige menu. We chose the surprise tasting menu, the amuse bouche was a delicate little gazpacho with a melon foam and mini choux pastry bites with gruyere –which were delicious. Next dish was pan Fried Foie Gras, Rhubarb and Custard, Hazelnuts with Wild Rice Crispies- this was gorgeous, loved the warm buttery tasting foie gras- the hazelnuts went so well with this and the rhubarb to cut through the richness- the texture from the rice crispies really added another depth to the dish too. Next up was cured salmon-again delicious but the best dish was the Wicklow Lamb-one of the nicest lamb dishes I’ve ever eaten. The rump was juicy and tender and had a beautifully spiced layer on the outside, the chickpea puree was so tasty as was the other cut of lamb which I’ve forgotten what is was called now-crispy and rich. I highly recommend the surprise menu – it was all fab. We also ordered a cheese board which was again excellent-that goats cheese yum!! We had a few drinks in the Tapas bar before we left, the staff were very friendly and efficient – the bar is very inviting and I’ll be back to try it, the Brassiere and the restaurant again.

Had the early bird here and it was absolutely delicious, cannot say anything bad about the food because all three courses were amazing. Unfortunately though it was a Sunday evening and the place was filled with large families, this included kids running around and crying and when my girlfriend went to the bathroom she said it smelled like used diapers. Will definitely go back, just hope the atmosphere is better next time.
