A Dublin legend. There's no TV, music or entertainment here, you have to make your own - and it's all the better for it! Reknowned for having one of the best pints Guinness in Dublin.

There is only one word to describe the Gravediggers and it is amazing!!! We went in on a Friday evening, there was a nice crowd in there and all the staff greeted us when we came in. The tapas change every evening so we drooled over the blackboard at all the gorgeous options. We went for the prawn, avocado and mango salad, Morcorran dips with warm pitta bread, a spicy sausage dish and tortellini with sundried tomatoes and mozzarella! Then for dessert we shared a mouth watering chocolate orange moose which just tasted amazing! All this and two pints each came to €36 and then we waddled into the old man part of the gravediggers for some amazing pints of Guinness to finish off the night. Can not recommend the Gravediggers enough...top class Tapas for pittance!

I work close enough to be fortunate enough to eat here at least once a week. The Lunch menu changes a bit each day but always something really good to chose from. Biggest dilemma being what to have! Reasonably priced, its always busy but comfortably so. Service is great, everyone is really friendly, its also quick! Desserts are a must try, home made apple pie is gorgeous. Honestly cannot recommend it enough, myself and colleagues visit often.

If it's pre Celtic Tiger authenticity your looking for then the Gravediggers is your only man. Initially when you pull up outside it's like you've discovered a forgotten sleepy hollow within the city. I was amazed to see 'tapas' on the blackboard outside as it's simply not a tapas kinda place. The biggest source of sustenance within is probably the Guinness. Which is extremely smooth not a common occurrence in Dublin unless you go to the right places. I was one of two women in the place and felt like I should be on my way to the lounge (non existent) instead of loitering around the bar. The type of food on offer is just inappropriate for the kind of place and atmosphere that the Gravediggers has in abundance. If they stayed true to a traditional menu perhaps it would be more appealing. They have most certainly retained a lot of character and there is no need to pretend to be something they're not.
