Picasso Restaurant 4.0 star review: Its been just under a year since my last visit and I'm updating my opinion. I understand that the management has changed (?) but in any event the prices has come down. The food quality is really good (I had a melody of seafood - the prawns were superb especially washed down with the Gavi) and the portions are very generous. For the main, I had the supreme of chicken which was (again) generous in portion and tasted wonderful. Returning to the value for money, one of our dining party had the set menu for €19.99 which was really good value. Service was very good, personable and engaging. Would recommend it.

Picasso Restaurant 3.0 star review: Have been here several times over the past few years. The food is very good however (and its a big one) the cost of some of the dishes are simply bonkers.€36 for a fillet in a restaurant of this calibre is too much. Some of the "basic" pasta dishes are over €20 which is pushing the limits of reality (irregardless of the taste).
There are plenty of other restaurants in this "class" that offer better value for money.
The service is friendly and prompt and the "free" (hmmm) bread and topping is simply devine.
So, its a mixed bag. Great tasting food, good service but still has "Celtic Tiger" prices. If they dropped some (not all) of there prices, I think they could get more regular customers and become a real hit.

Picasso Restaurant 5.0 star review: This is and has been since my first visit 6 years ago, my favorite restaurant! I can't get enough of their starter pizza bread and bruschetta! It's so fresh and just so tasty. I had my 21st here back in september and was given the whole top floor. The staff are very friendly but not overly so. They're there when you want something and service is very quick. They are well trained staff that have never seemed hesitant about their jobs.I could go on forever about the food.Everything is cooked to perfection.Their prawns, steaks and (my favorite) Risotto ....drenched in a white wine and cream mixed with creamy mushrooms! It's a delight.Well worth the money!

Picasso Restaurant 4.5 star review: Pricey but a lovely treat for yourself. 4 os us went on Sat night, service was excellent, very attentive but not over the top or overpowering. Food was gorgeous, althoug a bit pricey. Potatoes/veg included with dish (which wasn't the case a few years ago), we were offered (& took) extra potatoes. House wine was lovely. Food cooked to perfection. Steaks are pricey but it is a lovely treat. Not rushed out when finished meal. Will go again for an occassion.

Picasso Restaurant 0.0.0 star review: the only reason to go here is that you have money to waste. the fact that you get some sort of a free nibble which costs about 20 cent is the only bonus. 28 euro for a steak. give me a break. go into town. avoid this place

Picasso Restaurant 5.0 star review: We celebrated my Dads birthday in Picasso - there were over thirty of us. We had arranged a limited menu of 3 starters and 3 main courses. all were tried and all were excellent. We had eaten there as a couple before but Picasso were not found wanting when it came to food and service for a big group.

Picasso Restaurant 5.0 star review: WOW was defiantly the reaction Picasso restaurant got when we left after an early bird menu. I had to join Menupages because I wanted to write about it!
Don't be put off by the price of the early bird here. When we looked at the menu first our party of 3 thought it was a little expensive as early birds go. After we all agreed it was one of the best we had been to!
Firstly there is a very good choice on the early bird menu at least 8/9 different dishes . We all got something different to eat for our starters and main courses and every dish was delicious. Fantastic flavors and the quality of the food really came through. No ingredients are skimmed on and the portions aren’t either. My partner had the steak, it was perfectly cooked, was very flavorsome and an unbelievable size for an early bird. I had the risotto which again was perfectly cook and came with plenty of tiger prawns, and my friend ordered the fish and chips, the waiter suggested as it was sole to have it grilled instead with no batter which she was thrilled at!
We were seated beside a lovely fire and the staff were attentive, professional and not over bearing. I will return hopefully to find it as good as the last time which is the real test!

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
