Rustic Stone’s philosophy is simple: tasty, nutritious, innovative cuisine that is accessible to all. Simple and scientific techniques are used to release the maximum flavour. Rustic Stone only uses the best of local produce, sourcing our ingredients from local producers (see supplier section). The exciting concept of stone cooking has been adopted by award winning chef Dylan McGrath. Dylan invites you to enjoy and experience his new concept in cooking, Rustic Stone. At Rustic Stone we create food that is as tasty as it is nutritious. Our aim is to allow people to choose what they eat in accordance to what they look for in a meal, without sacrificing flavour.
We cook seasonally with olive oil, and nowhere will you find butter or cream in any of our dishes. We use lots of fresh herbs and salads grown by farmers we know and trust. We use organic produce where possible, always insisting on freshness. We focus on the positive virtues of different ingredients and draw out the flavour as well as the goodness from within.

Rustic Stone 5.0 star review: I visited the Rustic Stone for my first time on Saturday evening (early). I was most impressed and am already wondering how quickly I can return. The “bite” menu is excellent with many interesting choices. My husband had the crab to start which I had to extract from his plate with great difficulty to try…..absolutely fabulous flavour, my “duck n beef sandwiches” (lovely play on words) were melt in the mouth and I licked the accompanying chutney portion clean.
I love the nutritional information included on the menu which could well change the choice you make, it is very informative without being patronising. For mains we both had the same (although it was my first choice and I desperately tried to change his mind !) Lamb Burger with polenta chips, the burger had to be dismantled in order to be eaten and I did apologise to the waiting staff for the mess made. The flavours were fantastic (even the bun !!) and my husband stated they were the best chips he’s ever eaten…..ever ! We were way too full to try desert but the Americano coffee was excellent. The price including alcohol was very good indeed, excellent value and brilliant attentive staff with just the right balance of professional consistent service without being intrusive. We rushed ourselves a bit due to heading somewhere after but would have liked to savour the experience more...as I said…next time.

Rustic Stone 3.5 star review: I was really looking forward to a meal here as I'd heard so much about it but I have to say while the food was grand its not a restaurant I recommend or head back to.
There was nothing wrong with what I ate but I struggled to find something that took my fancy on the menu.
There's plenty of steak available (not a huge fan) but little else that appealed-I eventually went for a lamb burger but found the kebab thing served with it VERY greasy. The menu seems to have a 'HEALTHY' orientation-thats fine but don;t have ALL your desserts healthy. I choose a choc cake and it was pleasant but not something I'd ever order again.
Have to say I was disappointed-just not my type of restaurant

Rustic Stone 3.0 star review: Dylan McGrath would be better off putting his name to a local Dublin chipper. At least then when the food served was bland and unimpressive the customer wouldn't feel like they'd been robbed on their way out the door.
We went here for our anniversary dinner and were looking forward to it, having heard the name so often. For starter bites we chose the Olives and the Breads & Dips. We got 4 olives on a bed of ice. The description sells you the ice as part of the food as it contains cucumber juice and dill! Thus the theme is set. Our humus was overly processed to the point where it was more like puree with no character or textuure.
The organic Saint Marie, Bordeaux, Red wine we chose was flat and quite watery in taste.
I went for the fillet steak, unfortunately it is not available off the stone (though I didn't ask) so when it arrived I had to remove it immediately to prevent it being cooked through. The garlic chips with pesto were fine. Nothing amazing, I would have preferred them cut thinner but I seem to be in the minority in that way these days.
Desert was also a disappointment. There were many things I wouldn't go near and so I was left with chocolate soup. No meringue or pavlova but instead brulee, panacotta, tapioca and casanade.
In summary I think the attempt to be earth-friendly, wholesome and environmentally conscious has left this restaurant with a tasteless menu which I won't be rushing back for more of.

Rustic Stone 4.0 star review: I have been to Rustic Stone a few times and still come out believing the marketing and menus are designed for the female, slimline palate. My other half likes it but for me the food is too sweet. Cooking my own tuna steak in a celebrity chefs restaurant does not make sense to me. However I'm sure I will have to give in again to her at some stage and go back.

Rustic Stone 4.5 star review: Brought my boyf for lunch here as a treat, fantastic!!! Food was top notch, service was outstanding, staff were so friendly and helpful, menu is extensive and great descriptions of every dish! Dylan McGrath was floating around too which is nice to see. We had 2 starters (wings & bread), 2 steaks (fillet and sirloin), 2 sides (2 different types of fried which were delicious but we should have only gotten 1), 1 dessert (chocolate soup which is sugar free and delicious!). The only thing was that it worked out pricey, not somewhere I'd go regularly but would definitely try the early bird!!!
