Peploes Wine Bistro 4.0 star review: Had dinner here last night and really enjoyed it. Food was delicious, had the soup of the day (vegetable) to start. I would have liked it to be a little bit hotter as I felt it was oonly warm and there seemed to be some sort of nut through it. I really liked that addition but if it was a nut I would have liked the waiter to make it clear to me just in case of allergies. My venison steak was cooked beautifully and the chocolate fondant dessert was perfect to round it all off. Portions were a good size too. Staff were excellent also.

Peploes Wine Bistro 5.0 star review: Absolutely gorgeous restaurant!

I had crab and salmon for starters and then the fishcake for mains. The bread and olive oil served first was a lovely treat and as if the wine was not enough we rounded it off with some Irish coffees. Wonderful experience and fabulous food. Will definitely be back :)

Peploes Wine Bistro 4.5 star review: Went to Peploes with Friends ,the atmosphere and service were really good.
For starter I had Carpaccio with wild mushrooms followed by Monk-fish Pie with Prawns xxx loved it
I can honestly say from start to finish it was a marvelous evening.
Great food, great experience will definitely be back.

Peploes Wine Bistro 4.0 star review: I have eaten at Peploes and the meal hadn't the wow factor of previous visits.
My starter of Scallops & churiso wasn;t great - small on the scallops and too much churiso that drowned the scallops.
Main was fine and to be fair - the dessert of Pana cotta was brillo.

Peploes Wine Bistro 3.0 star review: I have been to Peploes several times for lunch and it has always been an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately I found things to be different recently. The waiting service had to be asked several times to bring water and bread and we had to wait almost ten minutes for butter. Not only this but the restaurant had less than 12 people eating at this point. The sauce that accompanied the Daube of beef for the main, I personally found to be sickeningly sweet and i didnt finish it. I chose not to have a dessert although one of my party said the orange and raspberry cheesecake was very nice. In my opinion Peploes has really gone downhill in both food and service, but it is still a nice spot in a great location for a saturday lunch, personally I think there are now far better restaurants along that street and I would head to one of them before Peploes again.

Peploes Wine Bistro 5.0 star review: Went out with the girls for a catch up and we had a lovely night here. We were quickly shown to a table and all decided to have the early bird menu. 3 courses for €25.00 of good food - not bad at all. The portion size of each course was just right and we were quite full at the end of the meal. We all had the same starter of goat’s cheese but each had a different main with everyone happy with their selection.

We have a lovely waiter who was efficient but not in your face so cant comment on other postings to this site. And we weren’t rushed out the door as soon as desert was done.

Restaurant was quite full when we were leaving so the atmosphere was buzzing.

Will be back and not necessarily just for the early bird.

Peploes Wine Bistro 4.0 star review: We grabbed ourselves a last minute booking . We were lucky to get in by all means and enjoyed every minute. The food was superb, we'd a selection of starters between the six of us, crab salad, brie, scallops, scallops being the highlight. All mains were fantastic, particularly the John Dory. All seafood dishes were extremely fresh and tasty. The staff here are very friendly and informative. Desserts a little boring but we still ordered the chocolate cake. Great night, Thank you

Peploes Wine Bistro 3.5 star review: I wouldn't say I am regular to Peploes but I have sure been there a lot of times and have always enjoyed a good meal. I find their interiors to be very comfortable and tastefully done.

Monday was the first visit where I felt a little cheated by the menu- there was absolutely NO dish that actually jumped out at me. The other thing that disappointed me was that if one didn't know their wines, there was no information in the menu to help them decide- I know what I like but still like to be able to read about them.

The service was excellent and in the end, we did all go for 2 courses and were full up but none of us came out raving as we would have in the past.

Still a good enough meal but potentially overpriced for what it has to offer now.

Peploes Wine Bistro 3.0 star review: Seemed like a nice place but the surly waiter that delivered an hour of poor and condescending service is all that lives in the memory. I'm sure with another waiter, I'd have written a different review altogether.
