One Pico Restaurant 3.5 star review: Great decor, lovely food especially the truffle soup and you couldn't hear the table next to you. I will definately be going back.

One Pico Restaurant 3.5 star review: I went here for a business dinner. I had high expectations and to be honest if I was paying, I would have been disappointed. Although food was gorgeous it did not warrant the prices charged. Service was quite slow. This seems negative, but it is not, the food is beautiful, but it is just so expensive.

One Pico Restaurant 4.0 star review: Dined here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Service was excellent and friendly. Restaurant was very busy and had a nice atmosphere. I found the lunch menu had a good range of choices. I loved the beetroot and goats cheese salad that I had for starters, it was served very attractively and the candied walnuts and pine nuts were beautiful with it. You would not be overly full leaving so if you have a big/healthy appetite you would need to order some sides too, they were about 3.50 euro extra I think.

One Pico Restaurant 5.0 star review: Could not fault my exprerience at One Pico.

The Service was excellent. All the waiting staff were so friendly and helpful.

The food was simply devine! For starters I had the white onion soup which was really rich and creamy. My boyfriend had the Langoustine Risotto which was also very tasty. For our mains we both opted for the fillet of beef with onion puree, baby leek, parmesan fondue and crispy onion. This dish made by recent conversion from vegetarianism worthwhile! The beef was so tender and the onion puree and parmesan fondue complemented it beautifully. For desert I had the creme brulee with toasted almond ice-cream and my boyfriend had the Baileys & Chocolate Ganache. Both deserts were gorgeous! I have heard that their chocolate fondant is out of the world also.

I will definitely will be back to One Pico and would recommend it to everyone.

One Pico Restaurant 4.0 star review: I got a voucher to One Pico and was looking forward tovisit this place as I've heard a lot of good reviews about it. The food was good, but what surprised my was the service. Only 3-4 tables were busy but everyone around was in rush. I wouln't recomend this place to my friends.

One Pico Restaurant 5.0 star review: We had been meaning to eat here for a while so when a special occasion arose we booked in to eat on a Sunday evening. Given the time of year the restaurant was pretty quiet but as the interior is nice and cosy we didn't really notice the lack of other diners.

We ordered from the €39 set Sunday Dinner menu. 5 choices for starters, main and dessert meant that there was plenty of choice.

While we read the menu we nibbled on some really lovely fresh bread, tomato and parsley, black olive and also walnut and raisin. To start we had beetroot and goats cheese and also monkfish on puy lentils. Both dishes were absolutely faultless.

For mains we had fillet steak and cod. Both dishes again presented well but both proteins lacked seasoning. To accompany the steak I ordered some pommes frites which at €3.95 for a small dish were really expensive given the excellent value the rest of the menu demonstrated.

Desserts were lemon tart and hot chocolate fondant, again both perfect.

Service was attentive and excellent. Our bill including wine came to €117. We will definitely be back to see what else One Pico offers.

One Pico Restaurant 5.0 star review: Two of us came here after a colleague recommended it. We were greeted on arrival by very pleasant and friendly staff members. We ordered off the set dinner menu, which at €38 per head is very good value. We both had the Fois Gras to start which was delicious and very moreish. I had the duck leg confit while my other half had the pan fried cod. Both were lovely. The desserts were delicious, I had the chocolate ganache which was sublime. Total bill came to €108 including wine. The service was excellent. We'll be back I'm sure for another special occassion.

One Pico Restaurant 4.0 star review: We visited here yesterday for an anniversary dinner, we arrived at 6.30pm in order to get the pre-theatre menu, at 26euro for 2 courses up to 6.45pm. We were given the a la carte menu automatically. When I asked for the pre-theatre menu, we were then given the set dinner menu, at 38euro for 3 courses. As we were supposed to be on a lovely night out, I didn't bother asking again. This is why I've deducted marks from service and from value.
The food was delicious. We had the goats cheese and beetroot salad, and the foie gras to start, absolutely gorgeous, and then the fillet of beet (6.95supplement) with a side of pommes frites (pretty sure they ordered these in from M*D*nalds, 3.95supplement), and the confit of duck. Both mains were delicious and very well presented (altho the trend now seems that to be a "fancy" restaurant, you have to have a really good puree'ing machine! puree'd onions with steak!? Anyway, delicious food. For dessert we had the lemon tart and the blue cheese both of which were lovely. For drinks we had one bottle of beer, 2 large bottles of sparkling water and one tea. Our bill came to 109euro.
The service was very good, although they kept asking me if I wanted wine even though I'm quite obviously pregnant! The restaurant was empty when we arrived but three quarters full by the time we left. We never felt rushed or hurried, all in all a lovely evening. We would probably go again for a special occasion.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
