Milano (Baggot Street) 2.0 star review: First of all i would say i have been in here 8+ times but this time i was disappointed to say the least, our visit did not start well and we actually left before ordering. There were a number of reasons for this, firstly we stood a long time before being seated. Looking around there appeared to be two groups around us who seemed to be wanting service and not getting it. A couple in after us had their order taken before us and IMO the prices seem to have gone up as well. I think they have a fantastic location and such but it's the small things that matter and so after a 10 minute wait we left.

Milano (Baggot Street) 3.5 star review: I visited Milano's on Baggot Street with a large group of friends. We were well catered for and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Really nice pizza's and paste dishes and the house red went down a treat. Quite happy with the service but there was a bit of a mix up to begin with our seating arrangements. Definitely recommend.

Milano (Baggot Street) 3.0 star review: Had lunch here in a group of about 8 people. When we booked the table we were advised to order in advance to avoid delays, which we did. On arrival at the restaurant we were seated straight away and given drinks and everything, and after about 10 minutes of sitting waiting on our food, one of the waitresses came over and asked us if we wanted our food now! So then we had to waited about another 10 mins, so much for pre-ordering! I had the cannelloni which was nice, small enough portion though. We shared dough balls which were pretty dull. Everyone else had pizza and there were no complaints.

Milano (Baggot Street) 4.0 star review: The best thing about our visit was the service which was really friendly, prompt and obliging. But our pizzas were good too. However, be careful of the Etna - it was too hot for my taste but my son loved it. The Diavolo was hot too but not in the same league. Desserts were fine but nothing out of the ordinary. If you can get a table downstairs you can look out on a very pleasant green space. The prices are high for what you get but they always seem to have a special offer which makes it more affordable. I'll be happy to return when I have a voucher to use.

Milano (Baggot Street) 2.0 star review: Arrived with two friends on our way to an art exhibition. I had made a booking but we waited a good ten minutes before anyone came to seat us. The front of house had several seats free and we sat at one of these tables. However when the assistant came she said we could not sit there and instead brought us to the back where there were seats filled with young children and was terribly noisy. We could not hear each other! The food and wine were ok only. Two pizzas were overdone to burnt and one was soggy. The server was sullen and unfriendly and we won't return there again.

Milano (Baggot Street) 4.0 star review: A great spot to enjoy decent food, good portions and good weather with good views. A bit pricey however worth it. I ordered the light pizza with salad which was very tasty and my boyfriend the salmon which was somewhat bland. Good service however and definitely recommended.

Milano (Baggot Street) 5.0 star review: An excellent choice of restaurant to enjoy the sunshine and good food. Myself and my boyfriend dined here and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. I had the chicken salad with goats cheese and it was delicious. A substantial meal, the portion was good and was very filling. My boyfriend had a thin based pizza which filled him up but still left room for a few pints after. There also was a good choice on the wine list. It was a great place to enjoy the sunshine on a Friday evening along the canal in Dublin city.

Milano (Baggot Street) 4.0 star review: I had lunch here with a friend and really enjoyed it; it is close to where I work so very convenient. The food was quick and tasted great; atmosphere was nice and would go back again. I had the thin based pizza with the salad in the middle which was really good. Only downside was I felt that it was a little expensive for lunch as only one menu used for the day but would return just not ever week.

Milano (Baggot Street) 5.0 star review: I love Milano restaurants and have been to nearly every single one in Dublin now but had such a lovely meal here last Sunday that I just had to let the menu pages readers know. We arrived and were seated immediately by the most lovely waitress ever. Had two delicious starters, two fabulous pizzas and then best of all the semi freddo desert with piping hot expressos. I cannot praise this restaurant enough, I have NEVER got a bad meal here and the staff are amazing, so friendly, polite and helpful. Well done Milano's, keep up the good work.

Milano (Baggot Street) 3.0 star review: I met friends for an after work bite last Tuesday evening. We had Pizza's and pasta dishes, all we really nice. The pizza base is thin and crisy with a reasonable amount of toppings on, the pasta could be tastier, i felt I needed to use a lot of cheese to give it a kick. The atmosphere here ona sunny evening is great, the restaurant is bright and open. We wer there ona busy Tuesday evening, there seemed to be 4 memebers of staff buzzing around our area. Perhaps if that was double we may have recieved good service. For absoulutely everything we asked for, water, Parmeasan, a fresh glass, Dessert menu, coffee and the bill, we had to ask at least twice. When the bill eventually arrived it was wrong and we had to go through the whole lot again to get the correct one. I only eat at Milano's if I have a voucher or an O2 treat code, if I didn't have that code a pizza and a glass of wine would have cost just shy of €30 including a modest tip. I fell this is far too much to pay for a simple after work meal. I await my next voucher.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
