Brasserie Sixty6 5.0 star review: Too many cocktails!

We had heard about the half price cocktails on tuesdays and decided to have a girly night and take advantage. We arrived early, 3 of us and all had pre-theatre which was 21.90. Food was gorgeous and we all sampled each others...it was one of those nights where we were passing the plates around the table. We all had...a least 4 cocktails each...i think we managed to try all different ones lol...and each one was so delicious. I would happily recommend to go here to anyone...staff are so happy and helpful and the food is best around. bill for 3 of us came to €130ish for dinner and 4 cocktails each...Brilliant!

Brasserie Sixty6 0.5 star review: Maybe it was a bad night to visit, but our experience was rubbish.

Sunday nights are a bit of a pain in the ass for restaurant staff as they are tired from the weekend. Our waitress certainly didn't make any effort with us to be friendly or accommodating.

When we arrived, we expressed an interest in sitting away from the door and further into the restaurant. An older lady, blonde, told us that the back section was closed off, promptly put two menus on a table and walked away. Nice.

The food was completely mediocre and expensive. They didn't even have what I wanted, which is fine, it happens, but what I did have - the prawns - were rubbery and of the frozen variety.

The service didn't improve throughout the meal (the same waitress served us all night) and we felt as though where we were sitting was on the outskirts of the activity.

It's been a while since I visited the 66 and unfortunately I won't be rushing back...

Brasserie Sixty6 5.0 star review: A few of us ate here last night, the restaurant was packed, testimony to the good food and friendly staff in Brasserie Sixty 6. The menu has something for everyone and there is an option of choosing from a three course menu for 33 euro. A surprisingly good vegetarian menu was also welcome at our table. The only fault would be that the staff tend to clear plates before everyone has finished eating but apart from that, we all agreed that we would visit again.

Brasserie Sixty6 4.0 star review: A large group (16 girls) came here for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. The place was absolutely heaving, but we had a great, relatively private table near the bar. You could tell the staff are used to dealing with large groups as they were very efficient and helpful.
The group menu and pre-theatre menu were good value, and the food was of a high standard and everyone was very pleased. One of our group is a coeliac and was particularly impressed. The menu is coded by Coelic Friendly and Coeliac Adaptable signs and she was able to order with ease and enjoy a decent meal like the rest of us, which isn't always possible!

I would definitely recommend Brasserie Sixty6 for groups, but maybe not for more intimate dining, its mroe a party location.

Brasserie Sixty6 4.5 star review: I have been here many times and I love it, it was quiet enough this evening which was perfect for us as we could have a proper catch up without all the noise. Food as per usual was delish, 3 of us had the steak and one vegetarian who was extremely impressed as she is normally so limited menu wise but Brasseris Sixty6 has a fantastic choice. My only complaint would be with the dessert, I ordered an Eton Mess which arrived in a sundae glass which made it little difficult to eat, I think this should be served on a plate or in a bowl - I did ask him to put it in a bowl and it was delish. Service & food was delish.

Brasserie Sixty6 5.0 star review: Absolutely love this place. Went here a week before christmas on a very busy night. In some restaurants staff can tend to look after the big groups and forget about the smaller groups but not here. The staff were very polite and professional. The food was absoluty beautiful. Will definitely be back great food great service with a smile

Brasserie Sixty6 3.5 star review: I ate here with my parents and husband just before Christmas. It was a first visit for all of us and as we only booked the day before we delighted to get a table as most other places we tried were booked out. Having read reviews of this restaurant I knew to expect that it was very big, noisy and generally hosts a lot of large groups and it was no different for our visit. The staff were all very pleasant, but we had about 3 different waitresses all evening. The food selection is good and the Xmas menu on offer was good value at about €30 for 3 courses. I was also able to substitute my dessert for a cocktail instead (which was only ok). Starters were all delicious (especially the grilled prawns and the lamb meatballs), The mains were all tasty too. 3 went for steak, and all were cooked correctly and I had the half rotisserie chicken. Portions were all big and a nice selection of side orders. Mum had a crumble for dessert but it was too sugary so she couldn't finish it. All in all a decent casual restaurant, I would come here again if I was hungry and wanted a good choice of meat and fish for a fair price. I wouldn't come here again for a special evening though. Wine selection is also poor in my opinion, but they have a full bar so plenty of other options!
