Botticelli has seating for 120, with both le Bar and River Liffey views, suitable for any occasion. We pride ourselves on serving quality authentic Italian food at the reasonable price, with friendly and efficient service.

Botticelli offers a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes, including an extensive choice of pizza and pasta, in addition to meat and vegetarian dishes. We use only the freshest ingredients, sourced directly from Italy wherever possible. Our exclusively Italian wine list contains wine from the most renowned wine region in Italy, including Piedmont, Tuscany and Sardinia.

Botticelli’s gelato parlour, situated next to the main restaurant, produces a large range of traditional Italian ice-cream. Our ice-cream is also available in the restaurant and we highly recommend it to our customers as the prefect finish to a truly authentic meal.

Botticelli 1.0 star review: The very fact that I find myself writing this review on a Friday evening speaks for itself. When entering the premises I was met by a very hospitable waiter however that turned out to be the highlight of my night. Having made the booking through menu pages I was not even asked for my booking reference (Name etc) which was not surprising as the place was relatively quiet. Upon arriving at our table, the table had the frustrating balancing issue that I had not experienced in a 'Restaurant' in a very long time. Depending upon who put their hands on the table first was the villain of spilling the others drink! I hope you get the jest.

Having decided to avail of the early bird menu, I feel now that was the start of the downfall. My fiancee and I now agree that we were treated as some sort of 'Low Value' clients. Upon ordering our two course meal - it was the final word spoken between the waiter and our party! I would understand if the waiter was perhaps having a bad day but considering we had three different waiters/waitresses attending our table.....

So onto the starter! I will only comment on the food I personally had! - bruschetta. When I last had this as a starter I remember it being much more than a tin of sliced tomatoes and that is the best way to describe this dish! one slice of bread with a tin (literally spilling out over the dish) of tomatoes!

Main Course - 'Pollo and Funghi' - bland, tasteless and little consideration given to how food arrives at a paying customers table. Needless to say, I left the meal almost as I found it when the 'waiter' (in this particular occasion) came to collect our dishes. When asked if there was a particular problem with the meal I explained all of the above to which I was told my comments would be communicated to the chef... Bill arrives I pay! No apology or explanation for the poor standard of food!

Very disappointing and will not be returning or recommending!

Botticelli 4.0 star review: I had lunch here with some friends on the go during lunchtime. We were attracted by the great value on the signage outside and it looked very clean and also quite busy which is a good combination. We were seated immediately and we ordered as we took our seats at our request.
The other guys got the bruschetta to start which was quite small but at the prices was more than sufficient and very tasty. I ordered the minestrone which was really good, light and fresh. Our mains came promptly after and the guys were delighted with their pizzas. Very thin and authentic to look at and even better to taste. I got a chicken dish which I couldn't pronounce with a tomato sauce... yum!
We were in and out in 40 mins and were all very pleased with the food, service and price. The atmosphere was good too and I would have loved to have had more time to relax and enjoy a real Italian experience!

Botticelli 5.0 star review: I had dinner here with my husband and daughter last night. Our food was excellent, couldn't fault any of it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing was the wine prices were a little on the expensive side, so we didn't order wine with our dinner which was a pity as it would have finished off the meal beautifully but i couldn't justify paying the prices for the wine. Overall,I would definately come to back to this restaurant and hightly recommend it.

Botticelli 4.5 star review: I have eaten here three times. Each time the service was prompt with polite staff. The food arrived quickly, was fresh and was both nice and good value.

I'd recommend this restaurant for people looking for lunch or perhaps a meal int he middle of the day.

I probably wouldn't go for dinner as I'd prefer somewhere a little less congenial, though I would definitely return to Botticelli again.

Excellent value, quality and service.

Botticelli 3.0 star review: Visited recently for lunch. They offer a good deal of two courses for, I think, around 10/11 euro. All of us opted for the bruschetta to start. This was lovely, really tasty with the tapenade. We then had a mixture of pizzas and pastas, all of which were tasty enough but nothing outstanding. There were only a couple of table occupied which was a little disappointing as this place is right in the middle of templebar and they offer good prices. Would return again for lunch, not sure about dinner though as the lack of atmosphere was a bit of a turn off.

Botticelli 2.0 star review: Food was dull and we really could have made better at home (we are not particularly great cooks.)

Decor nothing special.

Very poor value only saving grace was the wine which was not cheap but nice.

Very poor value given quality. Same dull salad with all dishes and pizza was no better than a good frozen one from tesco.

Botticelli 3.5 star review: Popped in here while passing with the girlfriend, the early bird was on so we sampled it. They've 2 different early bird menus, 1 for €15 - starter/main with the mains being different pastas/pizzas, and a second for €19, the mains being more meaty standard dishes.
It's a big restaurant, 1 side faces the quays, the other into Temple Bar, the latter having more tourists and a bit more noise from the passing crowd.
The courses came out quickly which is fine if you want to be in and out quickly but if you're on a date, you might want the meal to last longer than 20 mins.
I had the suppli, 2 deep fried croquettes of mozzarella cheese, tasty but 3/4 of them would have been better. My partner had crostini with proscutti ham and cheese - it wasn't great, reminded us of a basic ham and cheese toasty from a bar.
For the mains we had the pasta with chicken pieces, garlic and olive oil for me, creamy white wine sauce for her. We were wary eating it as we had to send back our plates the first time as the chicken wasn't cooked as required. The waiter/cook didn't make a fuss, he could see it was wrong, changed it quickly and apologised profusely. Both dishes were tasty, mine had a bit too much olive oil as it splashed all over the plate.
Overall, not too impressed with the place, food was ok but I was still hungry an hour later.

Botticelli 5.0 star review: Visited Botticelli's last week for their Early Bird menu. Had the 'suppli' to start - croquettes with risotto rice and mozzerella inside and the carbonara for the main. I'm a huge carbonara fan and this was by far the most authentic Italian carbonara I've ever gotten outside Italy! It was perfect, not too heavy or creamy. Our waiter was also extremely friendly and helpful. Such a bargain for only €15 per person. Will definitely be going back!
