BANG Restaurant 4.0 star review: Received a voucher for the tasting menu for Christmas and booked our table. Staff were wonderful, I was a little downhearted at being seated downstairs, however, the atmosphere was wonderful so I didn't mind not being able to people watch. We decided to go with the wine tasting add-on. The choices with each course truly enhanced the flavour. The only misstep was the waitress forgetting to give me my next glass at one stage, however, she offered an additional glass to us both so I'm not going to complain! The food was really wonderful. Each course was wonderfully satisfying and we enjoyed the full menu at our leisure, never feeling rushed. I will return.

BANG Restaurant 4.0 star review: Gorgeous food! Nice brown bread, Rabbit & Hamhock Terrine to start, lots of flavours, Venison main cooked perfectly (only gripe: 2 very small pieces, and I really do not like paying extra for potato, I don't think a "main course" without one of either potato or rice or noodles or salad can be called that, or should be €28. Side dishes when ordered were very big, enough to share, but if you like a bit of variety with your sides, i.e. potato & salad, you pay another €8 and really have too much food). Scrumptious (& big!) desserts: chocolate panache ( decoration a bit "off", looked like a brown streak on the plate!) & passionfruit curd with meringue (though once again, somewhat on the dear side, at nearly €10 each)
Serving staff pleasant & efficient.
I will definitely be back as the food is excellent (4 3/4 out 5).

BANG Restaurant 5.0 star review: Ate here with my dining club. Overall a great dining experience. The young gentleman who served us was unfailingly polite and the service was of a high standard throughout. I had a beautiful soup starter followed by a polenta main course with a side of very tasty mash. I loved my main course. I had treacle tart for desert which was perfect both in taste and portion size. The atmosphere was great in the upstairs dining room. Overall I would return again and I recommend you try it out. Make sure you reserve a table as it can get packed out.

BANG Restaurant 4.5 star review: Was treated to an anniversary dinner here last week and it certainly was a treat. We had the seven course taster menu and everything was beautiful. The flavours were amazing, everything was so fresh. Each dish had a different type puree with it, which is my favorite thing, I always think I could eat a bowl of the purees with a spoon alone. Only thing was some dishes were too fussy and the flavoured foams didn't really work.
We also order the seven course wine tasting tailored for the menu and they were fab wines, but felt slightly over priced as they were tasting portions and nearly €40 a head.
The staff were more than attentive, explaining each course and each wine. There was always someone there to catch your eye when you looked around incase you were looking for service. We were seated upstairs and for some reason the atmosphere was slightly lacking, but I couldn't figure out why.
I'll definitely return. All in all a wonderful night

BANG Restaurant 5.0 star review: Loved this restaurant! Went here on a menupages deal for their 7 course tasting menu & the food was amazing. We also decided to do the wine tasting with each course which we both loved. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Would definitely go back again.

BANG Restaurant 4.0 star review: We ate here on a Saturday night. On arrival we were greeted or should I say tolerated by a less than friendly owner. Less than a great start but as soon as we were handed over to a hostess to be seated the service improved 100% and continued in that vein for the rest of the evening. We were shown to a table in the corner downstairs which I thought were the best seats on that level. While perusing the menu we had some delicious warm brown bread to eat. I really loved the fact that they decanted our bottle of red wine, it really can make such a difference. To start we had the crispy hen's egg and the tomato soup. The soup came with two mini arancini which really made the dish. Small portions but both starters were delicious. For mains we both ordered the Rib eye. We ordered them medium as rare they can be quite fatty. My partners steak was much better than mine, mine had quite alot of fat. They were both tasty though and the bearnaise and fries that came with them were excellent. However I do think at €30 each they were overpriced. After our mains we were too full for anything else so we just finished our wine and ordered the bill. All in everything came to €111.50 but luckily we had a €20 voucher. Food was good, wine was good and the service at the table was excellent but I just wasn't very excited about Bang and unless we had another voucher I don't think I liked it enough to come back.

BANG Restaurant 4.0 star review: I've been to Bang twice this year and really enjoyed both visits. The ambiance is quite nice, even if space is a bit limited, it is comfortable and can accomodate parties. The cocktails are particularly delightful. The most recent visit I had a mozzarella starter, which was a bit small, and hake as a main, which was cooked nicely. I'm a fan of this restaurant!

BANG Restaurant 5.0 star review: The food here is definitely of fine dining standard. It's not the best fine dining I've had though, but it is up there. The service was great! I had the hens egg to start, which was perfectly runny, but it just lacked a little punch of flavour. I had the rabbit for mains, which looked stunning, but again lacked a little something to make it stand out in my mind. But by far the best of the whole meal was the dessert. The chocolate mousse not only looked the part it was delicious too. Overall I would recommend eating here.

BANG Restaurant 5.0 star review: Through menupages I bought an offer of a seven course tasting menu for bang for half price and I have to say I would have paid full price had I of know what we would be getting!! We went for the wine option too which is €35 each but great as you get 7glasses each!! Every course was cooked to perfection! Presentation was amazing and the tastes were to die for! The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable! As it was a Monday night we ended up being the last table in the restaurant having booked for 8:30pm but the staff made no attempt to rush us at all! I would recommend this restaurant again and again to anyone looking for excellent food in a great location!!

BANG Restaurant 3.0 star review: We went for the 7 course tasting menu. Having heard alright reviews, we thought we'd give it a shot. We like another reviewer got the table by the stairs, a little annoying as people/waiters like to touch the back of your chair as they walk by. Anyway, first off, Amuse bouche, a cold thick asparagus mousse with salmon roe, didn't like it, tasted like chicken bullion cubes with cod liver oil tablets. Next was organic salmon, it was delicious, loved the ponzu sauce. They didn't have the John Dory, which is what is on the menu, instead we were offered the scallop. 2 tiny little pieces on my plate, can't imagine what size the dory was to be substituted with these tiny scallops. Next was foie gras, i was really looking forward to this and it was awful, sludgy and just melted and disappeared in your mouth. Huge disappointment. Next, the lamb, itself, was cooked beautifully but sweetbreads and some really bitter, terrible tasting putanesca just sunk the dish. Cheese of the day was next, delicious, how can you go wrong, followed by the highlight of the meal, dessert. Amazing dark chocolate pave with espresso foam, vanilla ice cream and praline. Absolutely amazing and saved the menu, thankfully. All in all, 3 out of 7 dishes were good, unfortunately 2 of those were just dressing a plate not cooking involved. Could of done myself at home and I do. Hats off to the pastry chef! Would only return to this restaurant for dessert. O and the wine, 2009 Malbec, was about 2-3 degrees off room temperature, but considering it took 2 hours to serve the 7 courses, it improved by course 5.
