The Wine Bar at Dublin Wine Rooms 4.5 star review: Booked this for a Christmas night out for a group of 12 friends for Saturday before Christmas. The menu was great value at €30 per head, a lot more reasonable than many other options I'd seen, plus we had the option of going for the A La Carte either. Turned out to be a great choice - the atmosphere was lovely sitting in the wine cellar, there were enough other tables booked to add to the atmosphere, but no other large groups so not too noisy. And Xmas crackers on the table - that was a first. The food was really good - no complaints from anyone. Many of us had the daube of beef which was beautifully tender with a lovely rich sauce; plenty of extra potatoes and veg to go around. Service was great - friendly and still professional. A few of the group opted for the credit cards to try different wines while the rest of us were lazy and just ordered bottles to share, but there was no issues from the staff managing both options among the group. All added to the fun of the evening, and there were no added hassles like wine being poured too quickly or having to watch how many bottles were added to the bill, sadly something we've seen this a good few times before. So well done to the Dublin Wine Rooms for making this a great, enjoyable and stress-free evening. Will be back!

The Wine Bar at Dublin Wine Rooms 5.0 star review: My favourite wine bar in Dublin! They have the most delicious wine. The waiting staff are knowledgeable and very friendly and provide excellent service. This place is head and shoulders above other near-by wine bars. The Dublin Wines Rooms not only have a great selection of wine but their food menu is also excellent. The decor is comfortable, contemporary and chic. It’s always a pleasure to spend an evening here.

The Wine Bar at Dublin Wine Rooms 3.5 star review: Myself and a group of college friends decided to do something different on a night out. Dublin Wine Rooms had been recommended by a friend as a good venue for a 'catch-up' particularly if you want to escape the hustle of city centre bars. It was fairly quiet for most of the evening, although a large group did enter but left soon after they ate. The atmosphere felt it was lacking something, although as the evening progressed and more wine was tasted this was less noticed. The surroundings of the bar comfortable yet rustic, giving you a sense that you are sat in a wine cellar. We ordered a large cheese and meat platter to share between the 5 of us. A measly amount of bread accommpanied this, we had to ask for two further portions. It was satisfactory, nothing too special, which was ok as we just wanted to pick at it while we chatted. The wine list however is very extensive. It must be noted that this is for purchasing wine mainly by the bottle. The tasting dispensors operate differently, with credit cards used to choose a taste, half glass or full glass of different wines. Wines vary in price but a card worth 20euro would allow the taster to try many of the wines on offer. There is a greater selection of red wines than white. The sommelier was very patient in explaining the wines and recommeding ones to suit each of our palates as none of us would truly know the difference between one wine and another and would usually just go with what we think we like. All in all an enjoyable experience.
