A great find! Ideal if you're attending The Gate or The Abbey or any city centre venue.Great menu, delicious food, excellent service. Staff very welcoming and attentive but not pushy. Nice atmosphere,We had a voucher (deal) but unlike many establishments the full menu was on offer to us without any surcharge.Only fault we could find was that the menues were very hard to read- very faint print. We will definitely return and will happily recommend Le Bon Crubeen.

Had a lovely evening in Le Bon Crubeen. I was surprised at how busy it was, nice buzzing atmosphere with friendly staff. The service may have been a bit slow but I liked that as it meant I'd a gap between courses and didn't feel the food was being thrown at me. Food was lovely, the goats cheese and red onion tartlet was divine, nearly licked the plate!

Not impressed. Sent back a fatty steak. Before sending it back though, I cut the fat off first but there was hardly anything left on the plate. Had bought a voucher through menu pages and the portions were most definitely smaller compared to tables beside us, so think they cut our portions short as we had a voucher. When I asked for something else instead the waitress more or less dismissed me, I called her back to make sure she heard what I had asked for and she said "Yes, fish and chips" quite rudely and dismissively. The manager I think, then came over and starting explaining about steak to me like I was an idiot and hadn't a clue about food. Didn't want to leave a tip as it wasn't deserved, however, left a small one but won't be returning.

Restaurant was very busy on Saturday night which was encouraging. The staff were very helpful and friendly. As we ordered, different dishes were explained to us by our waitress, she was excellent. The garlic and chilli prawns were a very nice starter, as was the wild mushroom ravioloni. Both offered generous portions. Very impressed with the presentation of the roast lamb rump which was served pink and was delicious. The coq au vin was also very impressive and the creamed potato was to die for. For dessert we ordered chocolate fondue and a selection of ice cream. It wa the perfect end to a perfect meal.

4.5 Le Bon Crubeen 4.5 star review:
I ate in Le Bon Crubeen with two friends last Friday (April 5th). I had a voucher - meal for two - and unlike many restaurants there were no restrictions on the full menu which was great. We all had lovely meals - mine was a Goat's Cheese & Red Onion Tartlett to start, then I had a really good fillet of Seabass with green beans, asparagus and a celeriac risotto. Real plus was that there wasn't one bone in the fish! My friends had respectively Garlic & Chilli Prawns and Potted Kipper Pate as starters - both excellent. They both went for the Coq au Vin as their main course which was really tasty and came with creamed potato. Desserts were a Vanilla Panna Cotta, a Lemon Posset and a selection of icecream - followed by tea/coffee. We had a bottle of red wine and two glasses of white wine - and there was a bottle of still water provided. Service was efficient without being fussy or pushy. The place was buzzing - and on a cold Dublin evening it was warm & cosy. The bill including the voucher but without service was €115 which I thought was great value for the quality of the food provided for three people.

We used one of the menupages deals for our meal and it was absolutely wonderful.
I've eaten there before and know that you can always depend on them for a lovely meal.
The menu changes regularly but it always has some wonderful options to choose from. I had the kipper pate, coq au vin and the lemon posset and if I were going back tonight I'd order the exact same meal as this one was just perfect.
Really cannot recommend the restaurant with its lovely service highly enough.

Second visit to Le Bon Crubeen and this time was on Menupages deal - three amazing courses for two people for amazing value @ just over €40 - over 50% discount on the A La Carte menu. Our visit was on a Friday evening - great service by very attentive staff serving up delicious starters of chicken liver pate and potted kippers; rib eye steaks cooked to perfection with chunky chips and sides; followed by yummylicious lemon and lime cream and short bread biscuits and vanilla creme brulee. Wines are very reasonably priced by the glass and the bottle.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone - either as night out or pre-theathre or pre-O2 gigs. Great spot and great atmosphere. I can't wait for return visit in the not-too-distant future - great food for feck all!!

We've dined here few times and always had a good experience. This occasion was no different. We were with another couple who dined with us here before and it was at their request that we returned. The selection on the menue is very good and quite different to other restaurants. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere and decor are very relaxing with the live mucic.. I've no problems in highly recommending this restaurant.

Lovely ambience, good food, great service. Menudeals voucher was great value. Very drinkable house wine (Chilean white..), no rush on us to leave our table though needed for a second sitting. we'd definitely go again.
