I wentto Chapter One on Thursday March 21st with 2 friends for the pre theatre menu. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had to be out by a certain time in order for them to prepare for the next sitting but we didnt mind this as we got great value with the pre theatre menu.
All 3 of us had s courses each and we all were very impressed with what we got.
I will definitley be rturning to Chapter One.

Went here for sister birthday and had been looking forward to returning to this restaurant after 2 years where the food was amazing. This time it was very disappointing. I had the game terrine which was bland and the beef which although it was tasty the portion was shocking. Even for nouveau cuisine. Left a lot to be desired and I won't be returning.

The food is superb and the combinations rather inventive. Service was good, not OTT although the waiter forgot to top up our glasses a few times and the wine was left in the chiller). No value for money whatsoever but all in all a memorable experience. Glad I went.

We got a reservation at the last minute and were delighted with our visit. The staff were professional and very attentive. The food was flawless and the service nicely paced. There was no rush at the end. A superb experience.

Wonderful evening in Chapter One last night. Very friendly greeting and service by all we met. Food was fab, starters amazing, buttermilk soup, salmon and the duck sausage was delicious. Mains were filling and cooked to perfection. I had the beef which was melt in the mouth. Dessert was to die for, maybe the most delicious chocolate mousse I've ever eaten. The staff went out on a limb for us as we had a birthday celebration among our party. We will definitely be back

Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. Incredibly attentive and professional staff who spoil you from start to finish. They even called a taxi for us so that we would be on time for the theatre. Food was delicious and perfectly balanced. Had the peach and bean salad to start, followed by melt in your mouth pork cheek and finished with the fig compote dessert. Will definitely be returning

I have always wanted to try this place so reviewed their menus and made a booking for lunch. I arrived before my husband and the Maitre'D was very polite and attentive offering to take my coat and also offered me a drink while I waited. He was polite but very well humoured and conversation was not stuffy. I felt relaxed even though the place was packed with people and there was a lot of hustle bustle about the place. We were shown to our seats in an arch way to the side adn we loved it!! We just ordered the 3 course lunch for €36.5 which is brilliant value... In hindsight though we definately should have gone for the lunch tasting menu which was €46/48 I think? Anyway the smoked mackerel started was absolutely fabulous and came out like an oil painting.. We didnt want to eat it, it looked so pretty on the plate but once we did we ate the lot. My hubby doesnt like mackerel but we both loved it! We then both had pork cheek for mains and that was very well cooked too. We would definately be back again and again and so far this is our fav restaurant in Dublin for European food. We are planning our next visit after writing this review :)

Had a wonderful experience here. Everything from start to finish was perfect. We were greeted in a very friendly, personal manner. The restaurant was very busy (even on a Tuesday) but despite this the staff were very attentive. The food is absolute top quality, the best I have had in dublin to date. The experience was well worth the price, I will definitely be returning the next time I have a special occasion.

this is the one restaurant in Dublin i had want to go to for years and finally my wife surprised me and the taxi went parnell square direction, i had an idea where i was going as my shirt was ironed and she was looking stunning. The welcome was understated and no pomp, we we enjoyed a lovely drink at the bar, never hurried very relaxed throughout. The food was delicious, tapicoa and peas, Quail, Rabbit, Halibut, everything lived up to expectation. The athmosphere very relaxed, not at all stuffy. it is pricey but you know that going there and you get what you pay for.
