4.5 Bar Italia (Ormond Quay) 4.5 star review:
I really like this restaurant. The staffa re very friendly and accomodating and the food is fabulous. Pizzas made to order and the salads are really tasty. We got bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar while waiting on the food to have with our wine which is always a nice touch. The ice cream tastes homemade (I believe it is imported from Italy) and of course they have great coffee to top off a meal. Good food and decent value.

3.5 Bar Italia (Ormond Quay) 3.5 star review:
went here for a work night with a group who had booked the 3 course set meal. the restaurant was very busy when we arrived we were down stairs. I liked the buzz and the decor of the restaurant. we were seated downstairs. the service was very good. Maybe it was the menu but i didn't like the food. we got antipasti whic was all cold meats and cold vegetables i wouldn't have ordered this my self had I had a choice my own fault of course. the main course i did have a choice and opted for the gnocci and Irish beef may be I don't go Italian enough but it came out like some thing I would feed to my kids. However it was tasty even if it looked like childrens food and was very filling. The dessert choice limited and I opted for a peach tart it was ok. The meal was priced at 32 euro was expensive for what it was. I had 2 Italian beers and tried the wine which was good. the service was brisk but attentive. Wouldn't go running back but would seriously looked at my choice of food the next time.

3.0 Bar Italia (Ormond Quay) 3.0 star review:
Although the service and atmosphere were fine, I was disappointed overall with my visit. The garlic bread was much too salty and garlicky - could still taste it in my mouth the next morning. For mains I went for the ravioli, which was advertised as being in a tomato sauce, but tasted far too rich and cheesy. The house red tasted very cheap and was cold, I had to opt for a more expensive glass of wine as it was so bad. Don't think I'll return, if I'm in the area again I will go to the smaller Wallace's cafe down the road.

5.0 Bar Italia (Ormond Quay) 5.0 star review:
Went for lunch with work colleagues as we wished one departing colleague a fond farewell over some good food and even a glass or two of wine. Great food, great friendly service. Has a lovely feel about the place and felt like we were enjoying a lovely Italian lunchtime with friends and family. Second visit for lunch to Bar Italian and would return again and their evening menu looks so tempting will return for evening meal. Their specials on the board are a good temptation from their wonderful standard menu. Although it will be written in Italian so ask helpful waiters for translation.

5.0 Bar Italia (Ormond Quay) 5.0 star review:
Finbished off a lovely evening here on Easter Thursday, having shared a bottle of wine in a nearby wine bar. Found the staff very friendly, and the two pizzas (and another bottle of wine) were very good. A lovely friendly place, with very reasonable prices for the quality offered. We've added this place to our list of favourites - definitely be back.

4.0 Bar Italia (Ormond Quay) 4.0 star review:
Pizza was excellent.
I tried many, many places in town for pizza and being Italian, we tent to get fussy with our food.
Anyway I definitely recommend this restaurant for a good-proper pizza! I also tried other different dishes on different occasion and was never disappointed.
will definitely return without a doubt.

Pizzas were great and not overpriced as any of the food. Waiters were nice but it seemed a little understaffed.

My favourite place for Italian food in Dublin, definitely the best pizza in town! They have great selection of thin crust pizzas, good service and nice atmosphere. Try to go downstairs if you can-there is room full of Graham Knuttel’s paintings.

1.5 Bar Italia (Ormond Quay) 1.5 star review:
I visited Bar Italia with my boyfriend last week for a quick bite to eat as it was close to where we were meeting friends. I was seriously disappointed with the service, it was the worst I have experienced in a very long time. I didn't particularly like my food but my boyfriend enjoyed his and I'm willing to put mine down to it just being the wrong choice for me but the waiters were truly awful throughout. We were constantly ignored and left sitting there with dirty plates. After the main course we were left with out dirty plates for a good 15 minutes, while it was perfectly obvious we were finished and tried to get the waiters attention. After the dessert though we were waiting even longer, upwards of twenty minutes and they forgot my boyfriends coffee. We complained and they did apologise and offered a free drink but as we were already running extremely late we did not take them up on the offer. Definitely won't be returning.
