The Blue Haven Hotel 2.5 star review: Service......I'd almost say what service. The evening we dined for a family birthday the staff were all young teenagers. I've worked as a waitress myself in the past and I wanted to tell them what the were doing wrong. They are obviously not given any training AT all. Empty glasses, drinks bottles left on the tables. They didn't come to clear after mains. We'd decided not to stay for dessert anyway.

A rare steak order was obviously forgotten, given it was rare it should have been ready in 5 mins, however, maybe 15/20 mins later and after 2 enquiries it turned up overdone and dry...as everyone else had finished their mains it was partially eaten.

The menu is varied and reasonable. Portions are large. Almost too much chips, veg, pototoes.

They really need to give staff training....
