5.0 The Blueberry Tea Room 5.0 star review:
What a great little gem in Donegal Town. We stopped here after a drive from Dublin and almost walked past this place on the corner near the castle. We had to wait a couple of minutes for a seat but the staff couldn't have been more friendly. The second our table became free it was cleaned and we were ushered through the bustling little cafe to a great seat at the back. We ordered a club sandwich between myself and hubby having seen several customers eating them, with a side order of chips. They were happy to split the order and it arrived on separate plates - nice touch and the sandwich was delicious - freshly made and very tasty. Our boys ordered cheesecake and got a huge slice each. We also ordered tea for 3 and a coffee. A big pot of tea arrived and was just what we needed. The coffee was great too. And another nice touch - they refilled my husbands coffee and took away the half empty tea-pot and refilled it too. They also brought us a big jug of water and glasses. And the staff were very chatty and attentive throughout our short visit. The cafe was buzzing - obviously a very popular place and we would love the opportunity to visit again, if only we didn't live so far away.

4.0 The Blueberry Tea Room 4.0 star review:
Stopped off here on a wet Monday lunchtime at this busy eatery just off the diamond in Donegal Town. There was very good selection including a number of specials on the blackboard. The staff were very friendly including the owner/chef who went down to the tables to enquire with diners about their meals etc. For lunch we had the soup and sandwich special. The soup of the day was butternut squash and Chorizo which was very tasty. The chips served with the sandwich were a bit cold other than that was very nice. Good selection of cakes and desserts on view at the main counter which we didn’t avail of. Was also offered a refill of coffee. Overall nice and worth a stop bit overpriced for what you get though.

3.5 The Blueberry Tea Room 3.5 star review:
I havent lived at home for over 8 years, the 1st place I go to eat out in is the Blueberry. I've been a regular for over 10nyears, and in those 10 years i dont think i have been disappointed. The half Club and Soup is my fav thing on the menu, and the homemade deserts are fab especially the choc steam pudding. Staff are lovely and the owner is a gentleman. Great location just off the diamond, can be very busy but worth the wait

Nice cafe located just off the diamond in Donegal. Premises are a bit small and cramped and its always busy which is good for business but a negative if your starving.
Cant go wrong with the soup and club sandwich, the specials are sometimes pricey but are always delicious. Well worth a vist but avoid at busy lunch time hours.

I love this little cafe, it's my favourite place to eat in Donegal. It's always really busy but the service is good, the staff are friendly and the quality of the food is consistent. I always have the pasta special which is really nice (although at €10 is pricey enough for a bowl of pasta in a cafe). The chicken goujons are also tasty and they do a great soup and mash for kids. You do have to wait for a table at times but things are moved along very quickly and you're never waiting long.

A busy, bustling little cafe. May have to wait at the door for a table when busy. Great menu with lots of choice and really good specials. Open sandwiches my fave with veg soup, yum! Desserts are to die for!
