Monsoon Valley 4.5 star review: My son and myself visited Monsoon Valley restaurant in Balyboffey. We are both vegetarians. I chose Onion Bhaji for starters. It was freshly cooked and very tasty. As a main dish I chose vegetable Korai. Again fresh and very tasty.
Service was friendly and quick.
The Special meal for 2, costs less than 30 euro and is excellent value. It included a vegetable platter for 2 as a starter and our usual main meals. Price includes rice for two, nan bread half bottle of wine and coffee.
I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys Indian food.

Monsoon Valley 5.0 star review: I am from Bundoran but live in Dublin. I am a big foodie and would rarely rate any eatery outside of Dublin unless it is top notch. Even in my own town I would not rate any of the other restaurants mentioned in Bundoran as good eateries. They all do the job but you wouldn't be raving leaving them. They mouldn't have a patch on great restaurant sin Dublin. Even mediocre restaurants in Dublin would outstrip them.
I have also eaten indian food all over the world as it is my favourite cuisine.
Monsoon Valley serves the best indian food I have ever eaten! I have eaten here consistantly since they opened at least once a month, sometimes twice a weekend and they have never served a bad meal! They have the best kormas (I am very particular about these!), the best tikka masalas, the best murg masala and above all the yummiest pesh naan I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Plus all the wines are paletable, some even quite nice, and all under the €23 mark. If you like indian food and are around the Sligo/Leitrim/Donegal area, Monsoon Valley is worth the trip for a great meal.
If there is a downside, and alas, there must always be one. It would be that they're takeaway prices are not reduced. You pay the same if you eat in or eat out, so it can end up being a tad expensive if you're getting a takeaway for the whole family. But at €9 to €12 a main dish you cant go wrong if you eat in!

Monsoon Valley 5.0 star review: I have eaten in Monsoon Valley a lot over the last year as I go to Bundoran for surfing fairly regularly. The food has always been absolutely top notch. This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Ireland. Good selection of vegetarian too. Highly recommended.

Lamb Cutlets with Garlic, Lemon and Paprika

Why not make up a large quantity of this marinade in advance – it is wonderful with cutlets and would also work well with leg steaks or loin chops. The longer you marinate the meat for, the better the flavour!
