I love this restaurant and eat from here whether sit in or takeaway at least once a month. I love the staff & the atmosphere & the value. I can bring my children here & know they will eat, enjoy it & it will not cost me a fortune. The same staff have been working here for years & the same customers have been returning here for years so that speaks for itself really. We used to eat here every Friday evening (before children) like a lot of people from the town. On a Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening between 6 & 9 there is no point trying to phone in an order for a takeaway just go on in & order it as the place is hopping so the phone's do not get answered. Most people do not make reservations for Tin Tai unless they are a large group, just walk in relax and enjoy it.. I have been eating here for about 14 years & have never had a bad meal. They could change the menu as after 14 years I know it inside & out but there are so many options that it definitely doesn't get boring. The only thing I am not keen on is the desserts, deep fried fruit is just not for me!

This restaurant reminds me of a hospital canteen! The decor is dated to say the least, and the food I'm afraid to say is not much better! Awful experience that will not inspire a second visit. Not good at all.

This place reminds of possibly the first chinese restaurants in Ireland. Decor quite old but the place has a nice friendly atmosphere to it. My partner had ribs to start but wasn't impressed, they were dry and tasteless. I had the spring roll which was fine. He had the chicken curry, loved it and I had the satay, very nice too. All the staff were lovely and service was quick, good value for money. A nice place for a bite to eat but not if you are looking for something upmarket or for a special night out... but great for a quick dinner.
