Myself and my partner stayed in this hotel (now known as the Station House hotel) last Saturday night and we ate in the Depot as part of the deal. Our choice was from the €25 menu which offered quite a variety. For starters, I had the garlic king prawns in a filo basket (beautiful), while my partner had the potato skins. These were filled with bacon and cheese and were huge, but he was delighted with them. Mains were a goats cheese tart with salad for me and chicken maryland for him with a side of chips. Desserts were a chocolate choux bun filled with cream and toffee sauce and an unremarkable pavlova, which I didn't mind because at that stage, I was hardly fit to move. The place was very busy with a number of Christmas parties, but we never felt neglected and the service at all times was first class.
