3.5 Lemon Tree Restaurant 3.5 star review:
Went here on Paddys night. Food was of a high quality however I feel the decor and layout of the place were lacking. It felt quite cramped. The deserts were a definite highlight. I would probably aim for the early bird if going again.

5.0 Lemon Tree Restaurant 5.0 star review:
The Lemon Tree start their early bird at 5pm (a la carte also available) so we went early on a Friday and had no trouble getting a table. The early bird had items individually priced (rather than a set menu) and their was plenty of choice. The service was friendly and efficient. We would go back again.

Another great meal in the Lemon Tree. This time we had a party of 12 for dinner on a busy Saturday night. Our waiter was fantastic. He took time to explain the menu options to a 10 year old and made her feel important. All the dishes served were hot and tasty, and as ordered. A rare achievement in a busy restaurant!

Fantastic. Had a brief look at their menu outside the window and was immediately captured by the choice and combinations of the ingredients, then I saw they had the Georgina Campbell award ,so we decided to give it a go.
We had scallops and goat cheese as starters, monkfish and seabass as mains (they have quite a big choice of fish dishes) and they were the tastiest things we have got in a very long time.
The combinations of the ingredients were superb, really well presented and beautifully cooked.
The only thing I would have liked was a slice of lemon to squeeze on the seabass, but that's just my taste.
Creme brule and cheesecake were also excellent.
Yes the exterior and the interior are a bit dated but the food makes up for that big time! Will definitely return on my next trip through Letterkenny.

Managed to secure a table for on a busy Sunday evening with no difficulty. We skipped starters. My steak was cooked to perfection and heavenly on the bed of mash it was served with. My side salad was the perfect accompaniment. Mr. Mona had the monkfish which was just mediocre. The fish itself was nothing to write home about and the sauce didn't help much. The bottle of house red was just devine and very reasonable. The creme brulee that finished the meal was splendid and the coffee served was delicious. Not the cheapest option for dinner but tasty and the service impeccable. I will likely return.

5.0 Lemon Tree Restaurant 5.0 star review:
A group of 5 of us had dinner here on Saturday night and we were all exceptionally impressed with the quality of the food and the restaurant itself.
The menu was quite substansial with a lot of fish dishes. We all agreed there was not one dish we would not like to try.
I had the goats cheese fritter to start followed by the trio of fish for main course (sea bass, monkfish and salmon) - the fish was cooked to perfection adn served in a lemon butter sauce.
I tasted a number of other dishes ordered by my friends and all were fantastic. Presentation of the dishes was excellent too.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed and our waitress was very pleasant...
All in all a great restaurant and I will definitely go back when I am next up in Letterkenny..
Prices were quite good also - less than €10 for starters and deserts and between €10 and €25 for mains...

4.0 Lemon Tree Restaurant 4.0 star review:
had dinner here on a Sunday night as it was fully booked on the Saturday. It wasn't full, probably 3/4 on our visit. Two waitresses on and were really flat out but kept it going. My wife had the veg. soup and was not impressed, average at best with little or no taste. I had the spring rolls and they were fine ,again nothing special. For the main course I had rump of lamb and this was excellent, excellent presentation and succlent, really recommend it. My wife had a chicken wrapped in bacon but again this was average as there was no outstanding taste. With a bottle of wine the total was €70 so dispite the negitive coments I would still return, just not soup and chicken/bacon.
