Harveys Point 4.5 star review: Went for Sunday lunch, was here on numerous occasions, this was the best sunday lunch i had here to date. Desert selection was amazing. Sampled almost everything. The choice of medium rare roast beef and well done roast beef was available along with lamb, pork gammon turkey salmon.
Will definitely be back soon

Harveys Point 4.5 star review: Decided to try Harvey's Point for Sunday lunch. I don't like buffet generally and was not really looking forward to this.
I am happy to say this was a much better experience than I expected.
The restaurant manages this by taking small numbers in half hour slots so the dreadful "feeding time at the zoo" which often happens at buffet is avoided. The room is very spacious with starter course and dessert buffet in an annex. It works really well. The quality of the food is very good and the starter buffet is particularly good with a great choice of sea food , meats and salad.
Main courses is up to two meats from a good selection with a nice selection of potatoes, stuffing, great big Yorkshires and veg.
If you like dessert you will be happy with the choice on offer.
The restaurant is "family friendly" but despite a lot of youngish children it was still comfortable for unaccompanied adults. Sunday Buffet is €29 which is a bit pricey but it gets a good crowd.

Harveys Point 4.5 star review: Its a pity more swiss folk dont set up in ireland as harveys point hotel restaurant is really one of the finest restaurants in the country and an artist couldnt paint a more spectacular view that beholds you as you enter the restaurant which looks out onto lough eske.
A selection of homemade breads and dips were waiting at the table as I took my vantage point in the centre of the room.
A chefs amouse Bouche of spicy lentils, pickled pear and quail was excellent. To start I had the duck fois gras parfait with an exceptional homemade brioche.
As I am writing this live review during my dinner I must say that the mix of European and native floor staff are both uber professional and more importantly, friendly. Indeed one waitress the following morning remembered me and where i sat on my last visit nearly a year ago! Service slipped a tad between starter and mains when I ran out of both water and wine as staff were setting tables instead of looking after customers that were actually there. Aminor crib I know.
For mains I had a beautifully presented saddle of rabbit wrapped in Parma ham with polenta , beetroot and a ham hock terrine. Wow!
A diverse cheeseboard and a glass of muscat finished off a great meal. The only down point of an otherwise fantastic meal was a 3/10 espresso served with undissolvable sugar rocks.
Harveys is a truely exceptional hotel and restaurant that everyone should visit at least once in a lifetime.

Harveys Point 5.0 star review: I was at a wedding in Harvey's Point at the weekend and have nothing but praise for this beautiful hotel. The wedding meal was outstanding, by far the best I have had. The buffet starters were fantastic, the food was fresh and tasty and there was plenty of it. I enjoyed the main course of beef, with a lovely red wine sauce. The presentation of the dish was very good with plenty of side dishes. And the best part was the dessert buffet, a huge selection of tasty and tempting desserts. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very efficient, we never would have guessed that they were in fact accomodating two seperate weddings at the one time because our one ran so smoothly and in a timely manner. I will be recommending this hotel to anyone who is going to Donegal. It was worth the long journey from Dublin!

Harveys Point 4.0 star review: Every few christmases my mum digs the heals in and refuses point blank to stuff a turker or boil a ham, as much as i like mums cooking i'm thankful as i know were heading to harveys on christmas day. I'd go here every sunday no problem, the serve yourself buffet starter with salads, fruit, fish nearly is a meal in its own, alot of people i know dont bother with the mains and fill up on that alone. Mains are served by the chefs and you have a choice of meats from beef, ham turkey etc. I went here before i left for Oz and it was a great send off. Cant wait to get back to ireland and get here again. It is value for money for what you get.

Harveys Point 5.0 star review: We cannot wait to return! The food here was amazing and the service faultless. If there were more restaurants making the same effort this green isle would be full of happy diners. The quality of food coming out of that kitchen is top class, cannot fault it in any shape or form. Rocket & fig salad to start was full of seasonal flavour. Turnip & Clove Soup? Never heard of such a combo and am not a big fan of turnip but we both gave it a try and cleaned both bowls. YUM! For mains I had the angus steak with wild mushroom & blue cheese & a red wine jus. The cheese though a little salty was a lovely addition to the plate- again a combo I had never had before. My partners halibut scored v high on the fish front. The white chocolate panna cotta and fruit crumble desert plates were returned to the kitchen embarassingly clean as well. A memorable meal with great service. Well done HP, looking forward to our next visit already.

Harveys Point 5.0 star review: Wedding here at Harvey's Point was fantastic. For wedding food, I have to say it was outstanding. Husband had the beef and I had the vegetarian option which was a delicious cous cous stuffed red pepper. Veg on both plates, but the waiters walked around and offered more of the same if you wanted a top up.
Dessert (5 different desserts on 1 plate) was delicious, especially the scoop of ice cream in chocolate covered waffle cup.

Kids all got chicken goujons and shoe string fries, all eaten!

Staff were extremelly attentive.

If the wedding was anything like their restaurant, I would definitely go back for there for a meal.
