The smugglers, was a nice find. Lovely spot and views are excellent. Its an old house turned into a resturant. The owner and staff were very friendly and chatty to all the customers. Great choice of menu, all types of fish, meat dishes, pricey but the food is fantastic. Good choice of wines. A bit overpriced. But they are getting the customers, despite the expensive prices. Treat yourself if you are in the area, but remember to book in advance. I will definetly be back.

One word sums up our meal in this restaurant - dreadful. Too expensive for a start. Had dined here before and was expecting more of same i.e. wonderful food and service. Had even booked in advance, but what a let down! My prawn starter tasted rather odd - still haven't identified what the 'taste' was. Presentation had fallen down badly for some reason and service was nothing like the last time. Wine list prices are crazy as well. Even the stunning views didn't make up for a disappointing evening. Finally - paid a visit to the gents - wish I hadn't. Surely it's not too much to ask that a broken toilet seat be repaired or replaced - not just thrown to the side. A bucket of soapy water and some disinfectant also badly needed in this smallest (and most important) of rooms.

Not a good experience to report. Had visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and was absolutely charmed by the location, staff and service. The meal at the time was absolutely delicious too. Paid a return visit last night to discover it had changed hands - and not for the better unfortunately. Service was hit-and-miss, seriously lacking the professionalism of the previous owner, and the menu and wine list were a disappointment. Prices are far too high for the quality of food now being served. I had Cajun Chicken on a bed of noodles - the noodles were extremely greasy, and I couldn't finish them. The dessert was nice but woman (particularly this one) does not live by dessert alone! Definitely won't be paying a return visit.
