Rathmullan House 5.0 star review: Visited Rathmullan House for a friends wedding recently. We were staying a few days and so ate here a few times. The snacks/food available from the bar are really gorgeous but you are paying Dublin prices. The seafood chowder was excellent and the staff were helpful in finding out exact ingredients as a member of the party had allergies.

Food at the wedding was second to none. The most divine mashed potato I have ever had and I still do not know how they managed to cook over 100 steaks to perfection and to everyones specific taste.

The following day soup and sandwiches from the bar cannot be argued with for a bit of comfort food. Looking forward to visiting again already!

Rathmullan House 3.0 star review: Had heard many a rave review about Rathmullen House so perhaps had high expectations but I was ultimately disappointed. The atmosphere was so rigid, I did not at any point feel relaxed. The meal itself was just mediocre, I have had better in more standard establishments, although the ingredients were undoubtedly of the highest standard.I believe the combination of sauces and sides didn't do much to compliment the meat/fish, which was a real pity. The wine menu was extensive but very pricey, but when in Rome..... The service was good but failed to deliver Mr.Mona's birthday acknowledgement with the dessert, as I had asked when booking and only did so after with the petite fours. I think they forgot, much to my dismay. Unfortunately, a costly evening out with little to write home about.

Rathmullan House 4.0 star review: Had dinner on Wed and Thur night recently. Food very high quality with fresh ingredients - some from the garden - used creatively. Was impressed that menu changed from night to night with some same produce but some totally new dishes. Food is reasonably priced but not cheap, wine list though offers interesting choices at good value.
