Irish people love to eat seafood when dining out; in fact, unlike our European neighbours, we eat more seafood outside the home. Perhaps this is a testament to the quality of our seafood restaurants. And for many visitors, a trip to Ireland wouldn’t be complete without sampling a few oysters and sinking a pint of the black stuff. Awful. We waited 20 minutes to order our food and a further HOUR to be served our meal (which was just a main course). I asked for a pizza with no jalapeños as I am allergic to them and sure enough there was jalapeños on them. I couldn't be bothered to wait as I was so hungry at that stage so I got up and left. The table next to us were waiting an hour and 10 mins when we got up and left and there was still no sign of there food coming out. One of the waitresses was extremely rude and ignorant, however the other waitress was friendly and was trying her best under huge pressure and with no help from fellow staff. Will never go there again.

Lovely place, nice for a treat. Nice homely atmosphere, beautiful views. The food was good. I had the haddock and it was amazing. My Mother in Law had the salmon and she said it was a little dry but good. I could have eaten more of it, there wasn't enough on the plate but the amount that was there was lovely. The wine list was great and the wine we got was delicious. The deserts were fab too. Good food all around! The service was great! The lady who served us (I think was the owner) was friendly and attentive without being over bearing. We stayed there for hours and she didn't mind at all, which was nice. Ive marked down for value for money because of the portion sizes. I really wish there was more on the plate! We will return!

Had a great meal here with my fiancé last monday evening. Fantastic view of the harbour and a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. The service was good and the waitress at the front of house was very friendly. The food could not be faulted and we would definitely eat here again on our return to kinsale.

We had the 3 course early bird and it was excellent. Good food, good value for money and excellent service in a great location. Would recommend this restaurant. Also my children reckon their pizzas (eat in or take away) are the best pizzas they have ever eaten!

Atmosphere was nice and relaxed but still very up market. I am a vegetarian so there was not a lot of options there for me but when i asked for alterations to the food, they obliged with no questions asked. The food was good. My fiance had the pizza which he said was perfect. I had the anti pasti with no meat which was perfect. The service was great! A lovely energetic gentleman served us with a smile on his face. Overall, it started us on a good night. We will be back!

In Kinsale at a weeding recently . went to Vista the evening before the wedding relaxing with a few glasses of wine overlooking the water. We all opted for Pizza which was very good Service was good and we were not waiting too long even though place was full. Also ordered one calamari tapas that I think was a bit expensive .other wise an enjoyable evening.

I went there for dinner and got the early bird at 19.50€ for 2 courses. The salmon dish was delicious. I didn't regret my choice even though I am not usually especially attracted by fish meal. It was served with mashed potatoes, fried vegetables and a tartare sauce. Really delicious. I then got the chocolate brownie. It was served tepid and was nice, but not the best I got. The decoration was nice and the waitress friendly. After a rainy day this was very nice to get a good meal in a nice environment with smiling people :)

I was in Kinsale on easter sunday and i was looking for a place for dinner. After searching I decided to try the Vista restaurant. The 3 of us got a table near the windows downstairs and we had a nice view. It was a cloudy day but we enjoyed looking at the boats. We all got the early bird value priced at 19,50 EUR for 2 courses. There was a choice of soup or homemade pate for starters but we all decided to go for the main course and dessert. 2 of us ordered the salmon which was served with smashed potatoes, grilled vegetables and a tartare sauce. The salmon was moist and was very good. One of us had the sirloin steak served with pepper sauce and it looked good too. For dessert 2 got the chocolate brownie served with rapsberry sauce and i picked the apple pie. All the desserts were served with cream but i would have liked some ice cream with my apple pie. The service was great and the waitress stopped by to ask us how everything was. After a cloudy and rainy day sightseeing, we were happy we chose this restaurant as we truly enjoyed the evening.
