A party of 6 of us ate Sunday lunch here at the Emmet Hotel and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Normally, I wouldn't be too enthuastic abbout going to hotels for Sunday lunch as usually carveries are the only option on offer. However, a full a larte menu along with specials was available. Between us, we had roast lamb, seafood chowders, chicken goujons, deluxe burgers and pan fried plaice. All of the above was really really good, even the roast lamb was nice and moist and not dried out like most roasts on a Sunday. Some of us had desserts which included chocolate cake and cheescake, the chocolate cake was especially nice. My only criticism would be the decour of the bistro, it was quite dull and there wasn't much atmosphere. On the plus side, the service was quite prompt and the waitress was quite friendly.
