This place is a real find... while it serves sunday lunches and nothing wrong with that, it has delicious ala carte. Sis had pork and it was fab, if a little too much on the plate. Veg and spuds on the side, just great. I had two starters, saltcod croquette and potted crab was amazing. Prawns were delicious and juicy. I asked for brown bread and it duly came. The staff are young but so nice, and the place is so family friendly. They do a cheap tuesday deal with steak and by all accounts (sis) it is fab. I couln't recommend this place more.

We just popped in on a cold winters day while passing and had soup, it was absolutely delicious, it was really cozy by the log fire too.

Four of us dined here last Sunday and having been here before and enjoyed the food, I was not disappointed. Starters were lovely prawn and squid tempura which came with the most delicious dipping sauce. Mains were fish and chips which looked like really generous portions, pork belly and my salmon with veg. Unfortunately I found a hair under my salmon which put me off but I must admit that the waiter was swift to resolve the situation and we all ordered dessert. Chocolate and strawberry trifle was very unusual, while my husband enjoyed his apple pie. I am a big pannacotta fan and ordered it here. They overdid the gelatine a bit but overall it was nice. I'd come back again for the lovely atmosphere, good service and enjoyable food.

Have eaten at this restaurnt on numerous occasions & love the huge variety of food. The quality of both the food & service is excellent - nothing is a problem. The specials offers that are available lately are great value. Will continue to visit regularly.

I've been going to this restaurant for years and it's a real favourite, although recently the food has not been up to the standard I've come to expect. The service is always really good and the menu has a huge variety. I love how there is a standard menu which stays relatively the same and that every day there is a massive specials board. The pate is always a treat from the starters menu and the seafood can't be beaten.

Went there recently am a local. This place is getting beyond itself - we had to wait for 45 minutes for our food and the prices have creeped up beyond what one would expect for barfood. After our wait the food arrived with the vedge cold. Over all it was a nice visit and would go back. To be fair the server was very apologetic about the vedge and had it rectified immediately which was impressive !

Visited here with lil sis for a bite of lunch. Just couldn't decide, the menu although not so extensive has so much choice. There is a huge amount of fish dishes, and before we even ordered i was drooling at the fish and chips served to the table next to me, and so with little persuasion lil sis chose same! Once we ordered we were presented with a little amuse bouche, an espresso cup of the most delicious tomato and basil soup. I ordered some mussels, a little too filled with breadcrumbs but filled with with butter and and garlic, i asked for some bread,(living the carb dream!) and was presented with the most delicious chilli bread, fabulous, the brown loaf was a little stale.Sis'splate:The delicate haddock in a crispy herbed batter, and 'real' chips. delish!! Ordered a lemon tart between us, the filling wasa gorgeous and the ice cream fab, but he pastry was a little too thick and and far too much of it! However, this did not take from the fantastic lunch, with great service. If this is any indication,I am definitely visiting here for an evening meal!

lovely place to eat. had the pate for starters and it was delicious. we both enjoyed our main course and dessert was fab...had the chocolate fudge cake and it was unreal. the only thing i would say about the place is that the starters are quite pricey.I would go back there though and would recommend it to friends

I've been many times to Rosie's. Food is excellent, with good value for money and service. You can be waiting for a table and can be very busy- Connected to the pub. Well worth the wait though!
