Seasons Restaurant Cork @ The Ambassador Hotel 4.0 star review: The hotel is in a fantastic location and is a fantastic old building so atmosphere scores high But the food is only average and while all the staff were pleasant and obliging service was slow. But as a base to explore the city the hotel represents great value. Sign up for a deal but dont expect your included meal to set the world on fire.

Seasons Restaurant Cork @ The Ambassador Hotel 1.0 star review: I ate here on Saturday and was quite looking forward to the meal as the menu looks lovely. When we went to order we were told there was no Fillet steak, no lamb shanks and no duck!!! The waitress said they had Fillet of Lamb, instead of the shank. For a 4 star hotel on a Saturday night not to have the best and most expensive things on the menu is a bit strange!! we stayed anyways as it was getting late and we were starving ourselves for the day. We ordered the chicken and the lamb. The chicken was just 2 chicken fillets, dry with no sauce or marinade even.Tasted quite plastic. The Lamb "fillet" was a lamb chop that you would make quick at home yourself. Lucky the Mash potato was nice as that was what we filled up on. I would not recommend this to anyone to eat in - if your lucky they might have what's on the menu but it is not restaurant standard food...never mind for a "4 star" hotel. The presentation of the food is nice but that's not much good when the food is tastless.
