Popped in here on spec for lunch yesterday, first time to Dillons but wont be my last! Got a great lunch of mushroom soup to start with delicious homemade brown bread (John Finn's), followed by lamb cutlets served on a mint risotto and a red wine sauce. Delicious!!!!! The cutlets were cooked beautifully and so tender, the risotto, you could simply eat it on it's own, had a lovely cruch to it yet still have the freshness of the mint. My friend had the homemade burger, which I am definitely going to go back for with a mixed pepper salsa! The menu had a good selection for lunch with a large fish choice. We shared a warm chocolate brownie with homemade ice cream and coffees, and also enjoyed a glass of house red. All very well priced, 3 course lunch including coffee & a glass of wine, worked out at under €30 each, excellent. Dillon's seems to be enjoying a very good passing trade and the front of house lady is an absolute pleasure! They do now also accept laser cards.

Really really lovely place in a lovely atmosphere. Couldnt speak highly enough of it. Went on a Friday night, nice buzz to the place with tables full and plenty of chatter and conversation flowing, no awkward silence or whispering across the table. Can have a drink at bar while you wait. Food genuinely top notch, wholesome and tasty, decent enough value. Had two decent starters, two lovely mains,very nice bottle of wine and a couple of coffees for a little over 100euros.
