The atmoshphere was homely. This bar/restaurant/hotel is situated in a perfect area for tourists as it is surrounded closely by lots of water and beaches, there are good facilities closeby including a shop, petrol station, playground etc. The food was excellent! It is traditional Irish food and there is also a bar menu available which offers a wide variety of foods from toasted sandwiches to chicken goujons to steak and a childrens menu. I enjoyed a starter of homemade vegetable soup which was beautiful! I thouroughly enjoyed this as it was fresh and entirely homemade. For main course I had a beautiful piece of roast beef with homemade gravy which was rich and tasty, the beef was succulent and tender. This was accompanied by vegetables and potatoes which were perfectly cooked and were juicy and tasteful. The potatoes were perfectly floury and fluffy. As a dessert I enjoyed homemade black forrest gateaux, this was so fulfilling as the cake base was spongy and moist and the alcohol did not overpower the fruitiness but instead, enhanced its flavour! The service was good, the waitresses were very helpful and friendly. I found the value fantastic! This added to about €22 which I found a fantastic price, especially as the meal was so perfect! The only thing I found was a problem, was the heat as I am used to a more cool temperature.
